Pit and Pal — Restaurant in Adur

What an absolute embarrassment of an order! If I could give 0 stars I would! My partner felt sick half way through eating it and I couldn't stomach the thought of eating such repulsive food. First off the burgers were all burnt to a crisp as you can see by the pictures and literally tasted like cardboard, the size of the sauces is ridiculous, especially when you pay £1 for such a small tub and when you order two flavours but they taste the same?! The chips were over cooked and dry and tasted old and as if they had been reheated numerous times! I am a huge foodie and this is one of the first times I have not even tried the food due to the disgusting look and just the smell of burnt charcoal food. Very very disappointed, will not be ordering again! My partner and i thought we would give pit and pal a go as we are burger snobs and love a good fresh patty in a bun! Weve been here about 4 times now and i have not had a bad experiance at all!!

The counter/kitchen is rustic and welcoming. The staff are really nice and professional. I think its the owner or manager i always speak to but we always have a good chat! The food comes out within 15 minutes (if collecting) but i havent experianced delivery due to my location. I digress, i normally have the half pig as a meal but tonight i had the BBQ glazed chicken wings and they were.... well lets put it this way, its probably going to stay on my future orders!! The chips never fail to dissapoint as thier seasoning is lip smakingly awesome!

All in all a meal, wings and an extra can of drink came to about £14 which is really well priced considering most places will charge more for a frozen and mass produced product!

I hate having to leave poor reviews, especially for a small local company but tonights service was poor. Ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks which came to £24.95. There was no option to pay by card online so called the shop to see if we could pay by card on the phone. Was told to go online and cancel the order ourselves and then call back. Decided to pay cash to save time, the driver turned up and told us he had no change for £30! Waited for him to scrape together the change in 5ps, the whole time our food going cold. The driver ended up arguing with me in the street! Called the restaurant, again to say we’d be waiting that long for the driver to scrape together £5.05, the chips were cold and the drinks were incorrect anyway.
