Barbara Gunn This is a back up meal... we were just sitting in the Prithi Raj with Jane Slater , Pat, and Christopher Gunn and got our starters.. chris found a huge hair, "burrried in a piece of chicken.. ( sorry to be graphic..) the waiter just nodded when we told him, didnt apologise or anything... slowly we all lost our appetite, the waiter came back to take orders for main.. we said, we didnt want anything else and that we were leaving.. Raj(manager) came over, and bear in mind we go there a lot, with various parties and friends, he never once said "im sorry about that" then the chef came out, showing us his bald head...."not mine!!!. again, no apology.. instead a bill for the starters.. now, it was only £20 but, if it were my restruarant, i would have said...no charge to make up for, the ruined meal/evening.... no! he just wanted the money.. i said" you would take £20 and loose 4 regular customers?.... he took the money and walked away.. he didnt care less..... When we had pubs, or even our sandwhich bars, if someone gave something back or, for example, " this beer is flat" etc, you tip it it straight down the sink and pour a fresh one and say..."sorry about that"!.. its not worth arguing..... "the customer is always right"? yes, always...if you want them back... they are right,! and they will come back....absolutely furious with there "couldnt care less attitued " we will not be back!!!! PS, you got one star because i couldnt post this review with out at least one star, but, no, not...
Read moreI’ve been using this place for years now and it’s gradually gotten worse and worse. We ordered a delivery via their own website and requested it to arrive at 19:15, by 20:00 it still hasn’t arrived and despite calling the restaurant multiple times it just constantly rang with no one answering. I had to drive down to check where our food was; I said it was an hour late to be told ‘it was on its way’….then I asked why no one was answering the phone only to be met with a shrug and quiet mumbling all whilst the phone rang away where some poor other customer was trying to get through with no luck. I got no apology at all. I asked about a refund for at least the delivery fee seeing as I had to drive down and was told I could do this ‘through the website I ordered from’ - this was a lie as you can’t submit a complaint through their own website which uses OrderYoYo platform. They shouldn’t have the function to request specific delivery times if they can’t sufficiently meet these requests. When the food did finally arrive there was a naan bread missing, plain instead of pilau rice, totally stale popadoms and the contents covered in oil. Just an awful experience from somewhere that was previously a go-to, unfortunately I’ll be going elsewhere...
Read moreOn Monday 24th August at 7.30pm I booked a table for 2 for Wednesday 26th August 8pm. The person I spoke to did not speak good English. I have used the restaurant frequently, often with a large group. I invited a friend to try it. He had driven 20 miles. When we arrived for our meal I was told it had not been booked. I showed a member of staff proof on my phone but was told no table as not booked. We felt humiliated in front of others and left. Have spoken to member of staff this evening who apologised and offered to give £5 discount on next meal which is an insult! To give me confidence to continue bringing friends to the restaurant I should be given a free meal for 2. Your reputation is on the line. The food is good and staff usually friendly I am extremely disappointed at the way you handled...
