Lancing Beach — Attraction in Worthing

Visited Lancing Beach for the first time ever and personally it is really underrated. The stoney beach is cleaned daily by volunteers and has spectacular views in all directions with Worthing Pier to the west and Brighton to the east. We stayed in one of the apartments over the Perch on Lancing Beach?an excellent restaurant which served a damn good breakfast and we ate their pizza Saturday evening and thoroughly enjoyed them. Quieter beach, pebbles with a large green behind, toilets, a cafe/bar right on the beach. Drinking fountain for water, dog friendly according to online Adur council, although they're meant to be on leads according to signage but I think that may be on the green. (At low tide there is sand apparently but we didn't see it). Reasonably priced parking near the green but if you don't mind a 3 minute walk, Google Marlborough...

Clean, peaceful, 2 cafes offer fish and chips, burgers, churros, ice cream, pizza and other popular beachy food. Toilet is opened till 19:00. Parking does not look to be very full at any time but you gotta pay. Not Sandy but still nice for a walk or to lay down with blanket, also kids playground and space for rollers, bicycles, plenty of benches. Saw people swimming in late august and recently...
