Avoid the Dolphin Café Unless You're After a Bad 1980s Throwback
We spent over £40 on four breakfasts and drinks, and it was a complete disappointment. The food was poor quality—overpriced and poorly cooked. The baked beans were dried out, the sausages had gristle, and everything tasted like it had been overbaked.
The decor hasn’t seen an update since the 1980s: dirty, ripped front awnings, stained yellow ceilings, and an overall feeling of neglect. The whole place is in desperate need of a deep clean and renovation.

We Use the dolphin cafe a fair bit , and it never disappoints. The breakfasts are always hot, fresh and tasty, with generous portions at prices you just don’t see elsewhere anymore. From full English to lighter options, it’s consistently good.
Yes, the décor could do with a bit of a refresh, but that’s part of the charm – and let’s be honest, it’s also why they’re able to keep the prices so reasonable. For us, Dolphin Café is a proper local gem – honest food, fair prices and genuine hospitality. That’s why we’ll keep...
