Mamma Mia — Restaurant in Arun

I am only giving this place 1 star & thats generous only because I feel for the staff in there. The place was an uncomfortable atmosphere & far too 'cosy' for our liking. The way the manager/chef spoke to our waitress infront of us & loud enough for other diners to here is unacceptable. Not only did it make that poor girl feel uncomfortable but us also & I did not appreciate having my plate of food snatched up from underneath me as I was about to dig in due to the fact the chef was unsure it was even my meal!! The service, well there is none, but is extremely poor. Have to continuously pester staff for drinks that take a lifetime to arrive at your table... And for the fact they add a 10% service charge on your bill for this experience is an absolute joke. Food is at best mediocre & bought out to us in dribs & drabs. We won't be going back & will not be recommending this restaurant....

I booked a table in advance for a specific time. Booking was taken and all fine. Unfortunately when we arrived there was no table ready for us. We were asked to wait outside for 5 minutes - not the best evening to wait outside.. It was quite clear that our table was not going to be ready any time soon. The waitress asked another family to move along on a table and said that we could sit with them and have a drink while we were waiting. Quite unfair to the family and we kindly declined the offer. The restaurant was full of cooking smells with diners coughing - what ever they were cooking even hit the back of my throat and made me cough and I was almost stood outside. It was very noisy when we went for dinner, was a large table of ladies and made it hard to communicate on my own table, I had the mozzarella and courgette with parma ham starter, it was nice but extremely small for a starter that costs over £5.00 unfortunately only 2mouth fulls, we ordered 3starter however, the waitress was confused that 2 people wanted 3 starters not a good feeling and only brought out two and we had to wait for the 3rd one, the pizza's were good stone baked and reasonable price for your money, do not order latte it came in in a small coffee cup costing £2.00 and was not a latte is was bitter and horrible, the mamma Mia is good for pizza although starter portion control and latte they have a...
