Wonderful food and friendly, welcoming service. Fabulous homemade cakes, all incredibly tempting - you just look at them and can tell straightaway that they're all home baked. The teacakes looked fab and huge. They serve breakfasts all day, which you can eat in or take out. I had the veggie brekky at a very reasonable £5.75, including toast and butter. Large breakfasts at £7.25. Very reasonably priced menu. Assortment of teas available. Afternoon teas. Gift vouchers available. Loos are upstairs. Some more seating upstairs. My green tea came in a highly unusual and very cute angular teapot. Extra hot water provided without asking. Berry cheesecake and the fresh cream mini Victoria sandwich cakes looked totally yum. Victorian Tea Rooms has a lovely atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff with excellent food every time. Cooked meals with meat and veg etc also available. Deserts also on the menu. Yummy. I've been going to these tea rooms for many years. Never had a problem with food, It's always been fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced. All their food is eatable unless you're a consistent complainer!
