Fat Pizza Basildon — Restaurant in Basildon

I feel like its one of the very poorly run Pizza franchise where there is no customer service and the last few times I have tried to order they are out of Paneer.

This time though they put the order through and took my payment and then after some time a lady called me and said…

“there aint no paneer what do you want to do cancel order or order something else”.

Once I said i would like to cancel please, then the lady responded like this (without me exaggerating)…

“Ok i will let manager know” (put the phone down)

This shows the lack of professionalism and no sense of how to run a business and talk to customers. I found this quite rude service.

Then afterwards, when I checked my Bank account I had been charged for an order I had cancelled. Few days later I still didn’t receive any refund so I called the branch and the associate asked me all the questions to verify the order details which is understandable but then he tried to issue me a refund less than what I was charged. I told him a few times why he is refunding less than what I was charged and he kept saying I have the order in front of me. But I told him I have the order details in an email sent by FatPizza in front of me with the order number as well as my Bank statement showing that same amount is charged. Then he said ok no problem what is refunded will be in your bank account 3-5 working days and then he hung up and put the phone down.

Again very rude and unprofessional. I don’t even know how they still exist and if it wasn’t for them being the only local Pizza place providing an Indian Paneer Pizza I wouldn’t really go there.

I think there is a reason my their overall rating is quite low.

They should learn from their mistakes and improve or soon there will be one less Pizza shop...

Never order from this restaurant. Absolutely shocking service. The company do not deliver to the Billericay area, even though they are based in Basildon. To make matters worse they accept the orders from Deliveroo and provide you with no tracking details or tell you they will not be Delivering your order. They leave you sitting there with no information or any intent to even deliver your order, even though they have taken your money. When you call the restaurant you are put through to the call centre in Southend, where I spoke to two girls, who were unhelpful and just explained, Deliveroo accept the order not us, we won’t be delivering, and to make matters worse, you cannot collect the order either. As apparently the restaurant does not accept collections. They were unwilling to speak to the restaurant for me to resolve the issue and solely blamed Deliveroo for the problem. All most as if Deliveroo are forcing them to take customers money and not deliver the food. Please please please do not order from this company. It is pure and utter DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. Hopefully Deliveroo remove this company from there website...

I doubt that neither myself nor my colleague shall be ordering from here again. Ordered food to arrive between 18:05 and 18:15, after not receiving any update on the order at 18:13, I called to find out where it was. I was told my order was 10 minutes away, I was fine with that so I thanked the lady and hung up. 15 minutes later and no sign of my order. I finally get a text at 18:26 to tell me my food is 19 minutes away. I ordered the specific delivery time of 18:05-18:15 because it coincides with our tea break. Now we have nothing for tea and a whole evening of high paced work on empty stomachs. This is the second time an order has been excessively late and unfortunately the last time I am willing to order from the Fat Pizza due to the sheer lack of regard for the delivery times they offer and the delivery times they actually give.
