Mai Thai Bath

I'm really sad to say our visit to Mai Thia was very disappointing. We had a set meal. Our starters we lovely but we had a 'soup' and main dishes were basically tasteless except for the beef dish which had an overpowering aniseed flavour. Lemongrass had been chopped into the dishes therefore every mouthful you had, you were picking the hard lemongrass out. I did mention to the waitress this wasn't to my liking but she said that's what Thia food is like! The dessert was banana fritters, and like the starter thus was nice. I love Thia food and have had the pleasure of eating in a few Thia restusrants but Mai Thia really has a different take on This food!! If this was your first experience of Thia food, I don't think you would want to eat Thia again.
