We used to come here for their coffee, but because it’s not close to our place, we stopped coming. Today we returned and were disappointed. The coffee wasn’t as good as we remembered; it was bitter and left a burnt taste in our mouths. They’ve either changed their barista or the coffee beans; who knows? We had read reviews mentioning vegan cakes, so we were excited to try them. However, we were disappointed again when we found no vegan cakes or pastries. I asked the staff if they usually have vegan cakes, and she replied, “No, we don’t.” There used to be vegan sandwiches when we frequented this place, but today, there was nothing for us to eat. It’s surprising that in 2023, they aren’t stocking any vegan options. The coffee tables were all sticky, making it uncomfortable for us to read and work. Unfortunately, we won’t return until these issues are addressed. We left grumpy.

The name is ironic; the baker is not grumpy, but friendly, warm, and welcoming. The avocado and egg toast was so perfect (seasoning, cooking of eggs, presentation, all!) that I came two days in a row for it during my stay in Bath. Wish I were here longer to try more of the delicious-looking pastries...

A place where everyone is welcome. It's a friendly place, warm and welcoming. Great coffee and super yummy cakes. Friendly and kind staff. All customers were treated with respect and as wonderful individuals.

Just been to the Grumpy Baker on Moorland road in Bath. A very nice Oat milk hot chocolate and a very tasty caramel shortbread. Very friendly staff and a really peaceful atmosphere so I'm confused as to where the 'Grumpy' is in the name! No-one who works there could be described as Slightly miserable let alone Grumpy! This is a hidden gem on a busy shopping street and well...

This place has gone down hill, very rapidly. £3.50 for an earl grey tea, £3.40 per cup of latte, that was disgusting taste.

Not all that is cracked up to be.

Just a meeting place.

Prices have gone through the roof.

I’d prefer to go Greg’s over the road or costa coffee. Retired pensioners cannot afford such drinks that have bitter and taste weird. Milk or coffee...
