Burger King — Restaurant in Belfast

Visit was just chaotic and unpleasant. The queue was pretty small but staff seemed to be overwhelmed. I suspect this was due to putting together 'Just Eat' orders. A delivery man arrived while I was there and the staff were snapping at him as well as at each other. At the same time someone else arrived in to complain that he had not received half of the 'Just Eat' order he had placed the previous evening which only put the staff in a worse mood and held up orders even more. When I got my food and went to sit down and the place was filthy. There wasn't a table that wasn't covered in rubbish, crumbs and spills. I sat at the least messy table and ate an extremely underwhelming and lukewarm meal. While I was eating someone finally came around to tidy up and I was shocked to see the member of staff didn't even have a cloth with them to wipe down the tables never mind disinfectant. They just gave the table a wipe with their hand. This wouldn't be great at the best of times but was particularly shocking now that we are used to seeing the raised hygiene levels elsewhere due to Covid 19. When you go to a fast food restaurant you don't usually go with the highest of expectations but this place...

Whilst in Belfast I thought I’d have a Burger King, I’ve not had one in a very long time and saw this place.

It’s just inside the shopping complex as you walk in it’s on the right.

The staff They just seem (I felt) they did not want to be there. No contact with me as a customer other than what do you want? Thanks and there you! Just before being given the food I noticed burgers and orders being left on the side whilst other bit of the orders being made ready, this surely makes the food get colder quicker. When given my order I was just given salt and tomato sauce and had to say I did not want them but wanted mayonnaise. It felt like a conveyor belt.

The store The seating was pealing and in a terrible state, the store was clean but not a welcoming place to be.

The food The chips were really good but the burger was not up to much at all. The bread bun was a little soggy and the bacon was like a sheet of metal, The burger patties were a little cold not the nice hot you would expect from Burger King.

Cityside Belfast Store - you really need some customer service training. I have never written a review before but today I feel the need to because I have never ever been so mortified in my life because of a burger 😣The till operator actually accused me of lying and called me a liar to my face (I’m a 42 yr old woman) because I used the app for a burger deal, sat down, my friend arrived and I went up to get her a deal mind you she has the app too so I used her phone but I was buying. The cashier said I can’t use the same phone even though it was different phones! I did think he was joking and kept asking are you for real? I complained to the manager about the employee calling me a liar and he then said he checked cctv and it looked to be the same phone, we both have iPhones! I told him I’d never be back and how humiliated I was, the actual manager said ‘good we don’t want you back’’! Absolutely appalling treatment! I’m even shaking writing...
