Finally, after all this time I was able to try my first Hero! Walked in,didn’t really know what I was gonna get (had my eye on heffer from social media) the guy behind the counter- asked what I was getting, explained I never had one,but there were 2 front runners- that I’ve been dying to try- I wasn’t giving him much- but he was giving me whole lot of information & customer service was above and beyond- his energy was 10/10,so was his customer service skills. Such a pleasant person- with an amazing aura. So he then helped me to go for the heffer & I had loaded garlic & cheese chips. Got my order & off home I went. Oh my god- that sub was something incredible & everything that I could have dreamed of/wished for. The perfect combination of minced steak, sauce and cheese- it just hit a perfect flavourful spot! Exactly what I was after! Now the loaded fries- were just another 10/10! 3 days later & I still haven’t stopped thinking about them & can’t wait to have Hero again! 🙌🏼 Looking forward to try other subs, although when I get something I love- it’s hard for me to try something else! If you have t tried this place yet- you NEED to- it’s an absolute MUST! Oh and I only had half of the fries & not even half of the sub (that thing is as big as Pringles tub)! Huge...

We came here based on a TikTok video we saw. We arrived to a very friendly helpful face at the counter. My girlfriend opted for the special of that day “the Big Heff”; Ground beef, American cheese, cherry drop peppers, lettuce and burger sauce, (basically a cheeseburger sub). I went for “the Dragon”; chicken cutlet, spicy sweet chilli mayo, lettuce and pickled cabbage. We also shared the “Disco Fries” seasoned fries with chicken gravy and cheese. Suffice to say we loved the fries, the saltiness from the gravy, the creaminess of the cheese mixed well with the seasoning on the chips. My sub - “the Dragon” was very tasty, however very spicy. (I should have known this picking a menu item that’s named after a fire breather.) However, just a bit too much sauce for me, the chicken was cooked to perfection and the sub roll was soft and fresh. As for the special, we also really enjoyed it. Literally tasted the same as a shake shack or five guys burger but in a sub. Again for me just a bit too much sauce. £37.40 for two footlongs, a loaded fries and two drinks, I don’t think any lunchtime deli food is worth this money, however for the quality of what it was and the lack of these type of sub shops in Belfast they can charge whatever they want. Just remember ask for...

Heard about this foodie hotspot, so decided on the way past, call in a have taste. The menu is short, and that is good, as it offers enough to draw your attention towards the fillings, as you are able to add or subtract fromm the fillings. The subs are 11 Inches , and pre-cut prior wrapping. Yet it is so filling it would be difficult to finish. The detail to taste was amazing, the bread was fresh and added to the overall experience. The Mr. Major was the choice, and not disappointing. A portion of fries with cheese garlic and bacon was delicious and , probably a meal in itself. We parked in the carpark just up from the place, and walked, I mean 20 second walk. One can dine inside, as some stools and bar is available. We decided to take the feast home, and it was something to look forward to. The price for the whole meal was £18, and it was worth it. As after eating only half and half the fries, nothing else was required for the rest of the day. As we had ours around 2pm. It was not easy to find, but then again real heroes usually aren't, when they are, that's what makes...

These were the biggest, heaviest sandwiches we’d ever eaten. We didn’t eat for nearly 24 hours after! The overachiever was packed full of fillings and really flavourful. The veggie heffer was tasty and hamburger adjacent, but all we could taste was mince and cheese and there were no counterbalancing textures. It really needed some crunchy lettuce, pickles or veg. And we also couldn’t find any crispy onions in ours! Overall these were solid, but I think the bread lets them down. I took half of my sandwich home and grilled it and it was infinitely nicer - the bread soaks up a huge amount of oil and becomes incredibly wet pretty quick. Appreciate the veggie options on offer, and service was friendly

Just got around to trying Hero and I'm glad I did. I had the "Chopped sandwich" which is chicken, ham, salami, tomato, lettuce and cheese all chopped up and mixed with a mayo based sauce. It was really tasty and at a foot long, it had enough eating in it to satisfy the hungriest person. We also had the "Couch" loaded fries which had chopped up breaded chicken breast with mozzarella and garlic sauce (you can choose your own sauce). I have to say it was really tasty and was a really good portion. The menu isn't the biggest but I'm sure there would be something to suit everyone. The choices for eating out in Belfast are now vast and competitive but in my opinion, Hero is a choice worth making!
