Terrible service & overpriced

Went for a meal with family and had a terrible experience. The food and drinks were over priced and service was incredibly slow. There was only one or two tables with people sitting at them and our first drink took 25 mins to arrive. The menu was very limited so I opted for a starter with a side of potatoes and specifically asked for them to be brought out at the same time as the main courses that were ordered. My cousin did the same. 30 mins later the two starters came out and there was no sign of the main courses. We were all absolutely starving so ended up splitting half a pear and 3 minuscule fish cakes between 4 people. I raised this with the manager who did not apologise, seem concerned or show any empathy. She explained the staters come from the kitchen downstairs and when I asked when the mains would be ready, she said the chef upstairs hadn’t started making them yet (30 Mins after the order was placed & in an empty restaurant!!). The chef in the rooftop kitchen then proceeded to run down to the downstairs kitchen several times for items to prepare a grilled chicken salad and potatoes. He was completely underprepared and when I raised this with the manager again, she was totally unsympathetic and said he was going down to look at the docket the order was noted on?!!!!! And to tops matters off we spent most of our meal with a videographer in our face filming us without asking our permission. It was very uncomfortable and after the service & attitude we received, I had no problem telling the manager we did not want any images/videos of us to be posted online, as well as the blatant breach of GDPR rules. The chicken was barely cooked when it arrived because it has been so rushed and the rest of the food was substandard at best. From reading the rest of the reviews I can see there is a clear theme here in terms of customer service. The staff, and in particular the manager I spoke to, are disinterested and rude and made what was already a terrible experience even worse. Something needs to be done about this unless the owners are happy to continue have paying customers...

Went here for the afternoon tea x3 .. which was basically pathetic for 24.50 each as you can see in photo I've uploaded ..... The sandwiches were the worst ever!!!!! Chopped tomato with basil ...... egg cress ...... some sorta chicken sandwich filler you would buy outa asda ......the middle plate consisted off a overly small scone with a LG square dish off cream which you could off creamed a bag off scones no purpose other than to fill the plate up so they didn't have to add anything else !!!!!..... top plate was OK but notting exciting as if that itself wasnt bad enough...the over all bill was menta come to 73.50 for all 3 afternoon teas .... But no they added an extra fiver surcharges to our table for what reason also which they don't explain !!!!!!...... [I would love to know the reason why this restaurant feels the need to go ahead and tip themselves outa ppls cash ???] Its should be at a persons discretion!!!!!!! Plus in reviews it's says only pay surcharges to a party off over 4 so clearly wee musta had an invisible guest !!!!!! ....WEE were never handed a bill & never were wee explained this too when paying AT TILL ... Considering wee had already tipped a fiver unbelievable !!!!...... The afternoon tea is over priced no value at all for what you get & very under average food WHEN wee came the place was very empty now I know why !!!! ...... Decor was beautiful laid back chilled vibe but wee didn't come for the decor !!!! IF you put as much time & effort into your food as you do your decor i wouldnt be writing this review ... and staff seemed friendly ..... unfortunately wee won't ever be returning due to this poor ...

Went for a meal with friends and had a terrible experience. Drinks were over priced and service was incredibly slow. Staff were disinterested and unattentive. I could see that they were understaffed so not totally their fault but there were only apologies about the service when we complained. It was absolutely freezing - yes it's classed as an outdoor venue but the other section of the restaurant had 3x huge heaters and ours had none. My friend was having to use crutches and ended up having to climb 4x flights of stairs (lift not working) and staff seemingly didn't care.

We ordered breads to share and had to ask for side plates. These were thrown down on the table in a stack and were wet. We had to ask for a wine menu 3 times before it arrived. Mains came and my order was wrong so had to wait for that to be fixed. My husband's duck was a starter size and was priced at £22! Food was OK.

To top it off, the bill came with a service charge (!!), extra VAT and a mysterious £7 extra for the duck. So that's nearly £30 for a tiny piece of bird. Overall terrible and I would advise avoiding...

Spoilt for choice and completely unable to choose, the new menu in the Treehouse is undeniably delicious. Gone are the old rules of ordering Starter, Main Course and Dessert. You order a selection of food, and you Share! (if you want to). We were advised they appear “as they’re ready.” That said Food shot out of the kitchen almost immediately, and it kept coming. A few minutes later, everything we’d ordered showed up at once, each is delivered to the person who ordered it. We ate an intensely flavourful slab of tender steak with parnsip chips and green salad, Deep fried mussels in beer batter with a delicious garlic and walnut sauce and a Trio of sliders. Each dish costs between £5-£9 and do not get confused with tapas. These are far bigger portions and I will be back to try other items on the menu..

We had booked the place from 3-11pm at Pride. Big corporate event with open bar. Things were good but the The dinner was absolutely terrible. I asked the server who brought these up id we can get some sauces bc they are the safest sandwiches I had seen and her response ones; No we can’t put anything on it bc of allergies and food restrictions. We literally had someone who was gluten free and couldn’t eat anything. By the time she brought the just some matchup and white sauce up, we had eaten it dry. They brought dinner up super late (we kept waiting and finally I told the bar manager to check where the food was as he had no clue). Just felt that after they had already ran out of tab money and was end of the night, they really didn’t care about us at all anymore…/
