Would have done zero rating if I could. It might be a different story within the restaurant but definitely don't order as takeaway. I ordered from uber eats. I had heard good things about Archie's which is why I decided to give it a go (despite having a bad experience in the selfridges branch of which I ordered a flake and strawberry milkshake and all I could taste was strawberry with almost no flake or chocolate sauce). I placed an order on uber eats and spent £51.72. It stated that delivery would be around 60 minutes. I only noticed halfway through waiting when I tracked my order that the delivery man is transporting using a bicycle, I live 15 minutes drive from the city centre. So you can imagine the difficulties of a cyclist coming. My order arrived at around 8.35. I waited over an hour. The food was in a basic paper bag which was cold. The burgers were wrapped in foil and squashed. They looked horrible. The worst thing that topped it off was that everything was cold! It wasn't even lukewarm. I didn't feel like eating it and couldn't believe that I spent nearly £52 on it. The quality of it resembled something that I would have paid £20 for. I tried to call as soon as it arrived but there was no number for the temple Street one and the selfridges number understandably rang out because it was late. I was so so disappointed and will not be ordering again. The packaging for takeaway was just wrong. I usually order from burger joints and they put burgers securely into a box to stop them from getting squashed, why use foil? The food was so so cold. Why would you have it delivered using a bicycle? It must have taken about 30 minutes or more to get to my house so no wonder it was in the state it was. There's no way the food was worth the money that I paid. I feel sad that I wasted money on that of which I could have spent elsewhere. I expected quality from archies. From now on I will stick to what I am used to. I contacted archies, no help whatsoever and said to contact uber eats. No reply from uber eats. I can't believe how unhelpful they were. They accepted no responsibility at all. It's a joke

We decided to dine in and were taken aback by the paying system... had to order online using the barcode on the table. We weren't amused since not all of us had a credit card on us. It wasn't convenient as some like paying by cash. I guess the alternative would be to order take away at the counter and then eat it. While we waited for the food, we took pictures. I liked the aesthetic, the pink theme is something we admired. However I wish there was more booths for privacy as we were a group of 3, sat on a small table. The food arrived in a timely manner. But just as we were about to eat, a decently dressed man came in asking all of us for money. We felt guilty. He kept pestering us, so I gave in... even after the fact, he still hovered over us... then moved onto the other tables. It was awkward and uncomfortable. The food could've been better in terms of presentation and taste. I ordered a shake and cheesy nacho fries - it reminded me of cinema food. The shake was savoured and since I was hungry, I finished the cheesy nachos too. My sister ordered one of the boxes and wasn't impressed with the quality. My cousin wasn't satisfied with her food either, 'I've had better.' We wish the food wasn't as homely; we would prefer the fries to be crispy and the chicken to have more flavour. By the time we were finishing, the man came in again... asking for change. Very awkward. In conclusion, given how much the food cost and our experience, we won't be dining here again.

We recently opted for burgers and fries at Archie's in Birmingham, and the experience was profoundly disappointing. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was uninviting, with garish decor that did little to create a comfortable dining environment. The service was abysmal; despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we waited nearly 45 minutes for a simple order of three burgers and fries. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and unappetising, suggesting it had been sitting out before being served. The burgers lacked flavor and were poorly assembled, while the fries were soggy and under-seasoned. Given the premium pricing, I expected a much higher quality meal. We would have been better off going to McDonald's or Timi Hortons around the corner. Overall, the combination of dreadful service, subpar food, and an unpleasant atmosphere made for an experience I would not wish to repeat. I cannot recommend Archie's to anyone seeking an enjoyable dining outing in Birmingham. So, I suggest you give it a wide berth. If you're keen on a American style burger, try Fat Burger on the high street.

Archies, Birmingham – Burger Joint Review

If you're looking for a vibrant, Instagram-worthy burger spot in Birmingham, Archies is where you should head. Located in the heart of the city, this place offers an exciting fusion of fast food with bold flavors and a playful, pop-culture-inspired interior.

Ambiance: The first thing that strikes you about Archies is the funky, neon-lit decor. With walls splashed in pink, playful signage, and celebrity cut-outs, it's a perfect backdrop for snapping photos. It's got a young, upbeat vibe, but at peak times, it can feel quite crowded and loud.

Food: Archies is famous for its indulgent burgers, and they don’t disappoint. The menu is loaded with options, from classic beef patties to chicken and veggie choices. Their burgers are stacked high with layers of toppings, sauces, and cheese, making every bite rich and flavorful. Some favorites include the Biggie Smalls, which is a beast of a burger, and their loaded fries which are a must-try.

However, if you're looking for subtle flavors or a light bite, this place might not be your go-to. The burgers are unapologetically heavy and packed with sauces, which can feel a bit too much for some.

Milkshakes: No visit to Archies is complete without trying one of their signature milkshakes. They’re thick, creamy, and often topped with extra goodies like whipped cream, candy, or even donuts. The Ferrero Rocher shake is particularly popular, but all their shakes have that over-the-top presentation.

Service: Service at Archies is generally fast, considering how busy it can get. The staff are friendly and energetic, but during peak hours, you might face a bit of a wait for your order.

Price: Archies isn’t the cheapest burger place, with meals leaning towards the pricier side of casual dining. However, given the portion sizes and the overall experience, it’s worth it if you're in the mood to treat yourself.

Final Verdict: Archies Birmingham offers a fun, visually appealing burger experience with bold flavors and big portions. It’s perfect for those looking for an indulgent cheat meal, especially if you’re in the mood for a sugary milkshake. However, if you prefer understated flavors or quieter dining, this might not be your spot. It's a place made for both your taste buds and your...

I’m Gobsmacked. Me & my boyfriend ordered: Hot cheesy fries, BBQ Cheesy bacon fries, Chicken cheetos burger and the royale with cheese burger.

we was really looking forward to this place as on uber eats the rating is 4.3 stars.

the Cheesy chips had barely any cheese on. imagine a half of a cheese slice. melted onto the chips and mixed. that is exactly what it was. i had dry chips when it was supposed to have cheese on, which was about 5 chips.

the bad cheesy bacon fries was actually okay apart from the taste. they seemed loaded, but my boyfriend didn’t like the taste of them, maybe not the restaurants fault for that.. maybe my boyfriend just doesn’t like them.

the chicken cheetos burger was so rushed. everything from the burger was out of place, the lettuce which was shredded up ( nothing wrong with shredded lettuce) on the paper, not the burger.. the bun was off the burger and folded around the burger???? i don’t get how you can’t do a burger properly and give it to someone who's buying from your restaurant?

the royale with cheese burger was horrendous… again everything out of the burger. However, when i taken the first bite, the beef was still pink in the middle, and very squishy when you took a bite.

the packaging is cute. however at least make your foods taste and look better to go with your packaging as it looks like you’ve put more into your packaging then your food, we’re not eating cardboard or paper..?

DELIVERY IS A NO GO. we ordered at 7:30pm on 15/08/24 our food didn’t come until 9:15pm because of the delivery people. 4 times it said “trying to find you another delivery driver”. three times they messaged and called asking for our address when it was on the delivery address part of our order, again ..???????

i’ve got photos of the cheesy fries just not the bbq cheesy bacon fries, as my boyfriend was starving so he eaten them first but my cheese fries i haven’t eaten yet because i’ve been writing this review.

please sort this out as this...
