Big John's Erdington — Restaurant in Birmingham

Food over cooked over sauces and over priced... so I have to update this review as it won't let me make a new one.. I visited again after having a taste for good old chicken and chips like back in the day.. only we're here today.. where the staff are very customer service lacking.. personality of a dead fish.. so unenthusiastic... its like they hate they're job to the max.. But anyway let's get down to the food... alot of chips shops are refrying there chips ... so instead of throwing them away or giving extra portions to prevent waste they're are refrying them.. yesss.. believe it it's true .. now you can tell this because the chips appear wrinkly.. over cooked .. dark and tasting horrible and no amount of salt and vinegar will help these dead chips .. now big John's are slightly clever hear.. as tge cook their chips lightly so when refired they don't look it lol.. but they are wrinkly on appearance also they have a weird chewy texture and the ends are so sharp they wreck your gums and almost break your teeth.. the chicken was a joke in portion size had I not walked away from the establishment already I would have taken this back .. chicken breast .. not a full breast may I add.. but half but a quarter size honestly it was a joke.. not freshly cooked like I'd asked because I didn't want the pieces in the cabinet...

Had an £82 order through Uber Eats, which I understand isn’t directly part of Big Johns. When it arrived there were items missing and cold. I called up Big Johns because we were having a big family meal and people were without food, and we wanted to see if they would send the pizza to us. The person I spoke to basically said it’s not their problem it’s the Uber drivers problem, when I asked if I could just order a pizza with them because we had family without anything, he said no, again you have to deal with Uber Eats and request a refund. I explained we don’t care about that right now we just need food and Big Johns missed it off the order. He then accused the delivery driver of taking it, even though we watched the driver taking the things out of his car and there wasn’t anything else on his seats. So in the end my family decided to drive to Big Johns to get a fresh pizza. I just find it bizarre they are quick to blame the delivery drivers rather than take responsibility themselves that their workers may have forgotten to put it in. The guy I spoke to on the phone was honestly just so rude, didn’t want to help me in any way and confirmed to me why I don’t order from them anymore and did this as a one off. I work in customer service and I can assure you, the way Big Johns handled it just...

Absolutely appalling service! Ordered off UberEats and had a Pizza missing. Decided to ring Big Johns, after being cut off 3 times they finally picked it up. The man was very passive aggressive and rude, he didn’t even bother asking about what the order name was or the product which was missing. He straight up decided to place the blame on uber and the driver. How could the Uber driver take the product when the packaging was sealed and stapled. The seal was not tampered with at all, seems very disrespectful to just blame the innocent driver on a mistake YOU guys have made.

I then requested for the uber eats number, apparently he doesn’t have access to the number and told me to ‘search it up I can do it myself’. Firstly, he lied about not having access to the number. I’ve worked in a restaurant previously and he did have access to uber eats number but just blatantly lied to me. Secondly, the fact that you didn’t even bother checking with staff about the missing product is honestly ridiculous. No professionalism nor customer service skills, shouldn’t be working for a place you clearly lack skills off. I still haven’t received my missing item or...
