Chakku - Caribbean Street Food — Restaurant in Birmingham

The worst Caribbean food I've ever had! They never had anything on the menu that I really wanted as most things had sold out at 3pm in the afternoon. The woman who took our order didn't seem to know what she was doing and missed out things in the order. When we recieved our food my friends jerk chicken was luke warm/cold and the jerk tasted like it was out of a bottle. My vegetarian meal had no flavour or spice at all so I could not finish it off. We felt super awkward because of the items we didn't recieve and when we asked she looked confused then kept saying I haven't charged you for it. She didn't apologise at all. It's such a shame because we were really looking forward to trying the food at Chakku. We will not...

Pros: The service was great staff were friendly!

Jerk Chicken was flavoursome.

Festivals and were nice.

Cons: jerk sauce was bitter usually jerk sauce is sweet to compliment the jerk pepper seasoning.

Mac Cheese was mediocre and the processed cheese slices on the top spoilt it imo.

Amazing soul food, lovely service and incredible value for the money!! We had the Jerk Junction with jerk burger, jerk wings, mac & cheese, dumplin & fries - everything tasted incredible and fed us well!
