Nestled in the heart of Digbeth, BA-HA offers a warm and welcoming experience not easily forgotten. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with excellent service within a charming ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The restaurant's interior is tastefully designed, with earthy tones and vintage décor, creating a delightfully cosy environment. The soft lighting and comfortable seating further enhance this ideal spot for both a relaxed lunch with friends, or a romantic dine-in for two. Now, let's talk about the food. With a wide array of plant-based options, BA-HA showcases the versatility and creativity of vegan cuisine. From the hearty Mac’n’Sheese, to the mouthwatering BBQ wings and decadent Biscoff tiramisu, every dish is thoughtfully prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The kitchen has mastered the culinary art of creating flavoursome and innovative dishes that will leave you craving more. Furthermore, The Rainbow and BA-HA work together like vegan butter on toast. The staff are friendly, attentive, and well-informed about the menu, always ready to offer recommendations or accommodate any dietary requirements. Their passion for veganism and dedication to providing a memorable dining experience shines through in every interaction. If you're looking for a vegan restaurant that feels like a home away from home, BA-HA is the place to be. Whether you're a vegan, vegetarian, or simply curious about plant-based cuisine, this outstanding eatery will leave you with a satisfied palate and a warm heart. Book a table, indulge in Wing Wednesday, and experience the magic of vegan food in a truly homely setting.

BA-HA is a vegan kitchen situated inside the gorgeous Rainbow Pub. The venue is lovely, restored two years ago but has lost none of the charm. I arrived as they opened to relaxed music and a warm welcome. I understand it can get quite lively later on in the evening and the music louder with it. Empty on my arrival but it soon began to fill up with more people looking for a Sunday roast too. There were three options for mains, I went with the King of Roasts which is a chick’n style main made of oyster mushrooms and crumbed. This was accompanied by a mix of potatoes, roast and mash, good selection of veg, stuffing balls and the all important yorkie pud! Honestly one of the best vegan roasts I’ve ever had, absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be returning and trying some of the other dishes on offer.

I love vintage settings so much and Ba-Ha gave me classic vintage. I was engrossed in my conversation and forgot to take lovely photos of this beautiful spot. Staff were friendly and polite Food was great Portion was great Sitting arrangement is perfect. They have some really cute looking chairs 🪑. Easy to locate except the name issue Walking into Ba-Ha left me with imaginations of who the first owners of the house now converted restaurant & bar were. The mirrors, kept me wondering who looked into them first 😅. It felt like vampire diaries. Ba-ha… I think something needs to be done about the confusion with the names. Had no idea it was also called rainbow, that made me walk an extra 5 mins. Thanks to the owners for preserving history

A very mixed review.

We came to BaHa at The Rainbow to finish off a week of vegan eating, as we are normally meat eaters but wanted to try out a vegan lifestyle. We dined with with vegan friends, potentially new regulars, but sadly none of us will return. Firstly I ordered with a staff member who had no knowledge of the menu or how to order some items.

After a bit of a wait the actual food was very very good. However the Rainbow is not the right venue for this! We had booked so they knew we were coming for food, despite this almost all the food arrived cold although we appeared to be one of the only tables eating. I'm more convinced this was a service issue than a kitchen one.

The staff and service was absolutely unacceptable, and has put me off coming again. When the staff were informed straight away the food was cold the staff member argued with us (assuming we wanted it for free) all we wanted was the food to be reheated, which credit to the kitchen they actually remade it. We were compensated with some free bubbly which was offered to us, which was a nice gesture but 2 of the party didn't drink alcohol. I could not get over the fact that we were basically threatened that if the food was returned to the kitchen and wasn't considered cold then there would be a problem.

If BaHa was based in another venue I would go again, but at the current location the standoffish service and staff who don't seem to care about the food means no...

What can I say? The chef, Frankie, is second to none. Took my girlfriend here pre gig. She has allergies to most things, so we asked the usual questions of the waiter and he went off to ask.

Lucky for us, Frankie was there, despite it being her day off. We didnt just get fobbed off, like we have been in posher restaurants previously. Nope, Frankie came to our table and sat for about 20 minutes discussing my girlfriends allergies with us to find out how bad they were and what she could eat. Once all of this was established, Frankie devised a dish just for her and then went and briefed the on shift chef, prepping the kitchen and ingredients herself. Above and beyond doesnt even come into it, she was AMAZING. And we love her for it 💖

As for the food, well that was AMAZING too, but having chatted to Frankie, we had no doubt it would be! The Nobo jackfruit meatballs were just incredible.

The mocktails were great, the atmos is fab, really Bohemian. Get yourselves down to The Rainbow and treat yourselves to Ba-Ha...you wont be disappointed.

Thankyou to Frankie and the chef who cooked the food, you really did do a very special job for us and it wont be...
