My partner and I went here for dinner the other night, with fond memories of how good it was a few years ago. Unfortunately however, Kababish isn't what it once was.
Service was quick and our waiter was very friendly, however my starter - the samosa chaat - was horrible. It seemed to be a regular samosa, cut up a bit, and drowned in a pool of plain yoghurt without any chutney. It looked terrible, and tasted awful as well, and I ended up leaving most of it. My partner had the chicken shashlik, which was fine, but a bit dry and lacking in flavour.
The mains were much better, but portion sizes are small for the price and I really don't think the food is any better than any of the numerous other local Indian restaurants.
It was a really disappointing experience, as we loved Kababish in the past. Other diners clearly feel the same, as the restaurant was virtually empty whilst everywhere else on Woodbridge Road was heaving that night. I don't think...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing food, the service here is on point. We loved the food and service here that we had them cater our wedding. The service at the wedding was the best service we have ever had and not to mention the food was delicious and served on time. All our guests commented on how nice the food was and they said the service they received from the waiting staff was just equally as good. We had so many compliments from guests regarding the food and where we got the the catering from. The process of getting it arranged was so simple too. I would highly recommend eating here and if you have any events this is your go to place to cater them.
Also their mango lassi is undefeated, it’s the best mango lassi we have ever had, you definitely need to get a jug of it if...

The poppadom and onion bhaji was fine and I enjoyed it, but the paneer shashlik was very poor - it came out dry and burnt. The server then replaced it with another attempt, and while this one was 'better' it was not good. The server offered to change it for a saag paneer, but it was very oily. At this point while I appreciated the effort of the server, I left a lot of my meal uneaten (which I am very glad about as I had stomach cramps and food poisoning symptoms later that evening).
I really hoped that it would be a great place to try, but I'll stick to other Indian...
