I’ve always had a great experience going to Sabai Sabai for special occasions. The Moseley restaurant is small but cosey with an interior Thai theme throughout and presented very well with a clean and war environment to eat in. The service was also very good having been greeted and seated the moment we walked in, we were not waiting long for any orders and the staff were extremely considerate of their customer’s needs. The menu has a great range of authentic Thai dishes made to order and you will be sure to find something to suit everyone’s pallet. There is so much choice that I am finding myself reading the menu throughout the first round of drinks. I could not fault any of the food dishes, all the food tasted amazing and all four of us were very pleased with the quality and quantity of each dish. Yes, it is on the more expensive side here but for a treat or special occasion it is perfect. I also highly recommend the Valentine’s Day special they do here which usually sells out. The menu will be unique and specific for this day alone and a great choice for a romantic scene and dinner with great drinks also available. The only thing I didn't agree with was the added service charges. You can request to remove these but check your receipt before paying if you dont want to include these! I did notice the shorter waitress has a short temper and is unpatient when dealing with customers if they raise a concern and jumps on a rude defence instead of remaining calm and considerate but luckily we had a kinder waitress.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sabai Sabai, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, instantly transporting us to Thailand with its beautiful decor and soothing atmosphere. The service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our server took the time to explain each dish and offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a perfect blend of flavors, fresh ingredients, and authentic Thai spices. We started with the Tom Yum soup, which was bursting with vibrant, tangy flavors. The Pad Thai was the best I've ever had, with perfectly cooked noodles and a delightful mix of textures. The Green Curry was another standout, rich and creamy with just the right amount of heat. For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, Sabai Sabai exceeded all our expectations. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere makes it a must-visit. Whether you’re a fan of Thai cuisine or looking to try something new, I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning soon!

Absolutely love Sabai Sabai. Can never fault the food. Went as a walk-in on Bank Holiday Monday but I do strongly suggest to always book online. We were just lucky on that day that they were not that busy. We had the Pad-See Ew with chicken and the Talapia with steamed rice. (the rice is an extra charge)- strongly recommended😍. The only reason Sabai is not getting a 5* this time, is purely for the lack of customer service. Found the waitress to be very off hand and made us feel uncomfortable about asking if we could order (15 mins waiting when I asked) this was at the same time when she came over to take drinks order. She literally took a massive pause, shrugged and said 'I guess so'. When we did get our food, which was very quick, she did check on us- as she she was fast pacing to the front door without pausing! 🤨 In the end we just got the attention of the other server, who was waiting on 4 other tables just to get another drink and pay. Now I'm going to point out, I have been here many times and never had bad CS. This trip really threw us off.

Unfortunately after 10 years or so of good experiences at Sabai Sabai, last night's to celebrate my wife's birthday ended up quite badly.

In short, after eating about 5 spoonfuls of green curry the sheer amount of coconut cream and salt in it turned my stomach and I felt immediately sick. After calling the waitress to tell her this her attitude was quite simply disgraceful.

All she kept saying was I should have mentioned this earlier when I was served the dish. I had only had the dish for 5 mins and had eaten literally none of it - is that not deemed "early" enough. She BERATED us on how the dish is meant to have coconut as the base, if I didn't like so much coconut then I should have specified this when ordering, that this is less coconut than all the Thai restaurants would use in Thailand etc etc... Immediately on the defensive and just talking over us. My wife who is from Vietnam and obvs VERY familiar with SE Asian food was telling her that she had never tasted a Thai green curry like it, it was like a bowl of coconut cream dyed green.

I myself have been around SE Asia multiple times, I am aware of the cuisine, we eat in China Town every week, I know coconut cream is used, but not to the levels of which were used in my dish last night.

The waitress refused to acknowledge our concerns, and just ARGUED that we were wrong, she was right, no refund for the one dish that I couldn't eat, so I paid up and left as quickly as possible before I puked up green cream over the floor in front of a full restaurant!

How you have someone front of house with an attitude like that I don't know. Sure we all know that the customer isn't always right - this customer however didn't even have a say in the matter though it seems as it just passed through one ear and out the other.

Everything else (starters, other main) were very nice as always. Which I also made clear to the waitress. We suggested the chef taste the dish and comment, this was ignored. Last time we will ever visit a...

Went to Sabai Sabai before and this time compared to before were night and day. When we first got there I was okay until I sat by a table that clearly has a cold draft coming from it. I asked to be moved which wasn't a problem however then I came to realise that the whole inside of the restaurant was cold. My partner even asked for the heating to be turned up which they did do for us apparently but I just could not warm up. Then our food came. Once served no one asked us if we were okay or if we needed anything else. We both ordered steaks and I tried sliced pieces and did not eat the rest ontop of the inside of the building being cold, by time our steaks got to us they were cold. I counted 6 delivery food drivers come and go with food to be delivered in the restaurant before my food was served. I preferred my starter which was calamari that indeed was sooooo delicious! I think they only noticed our dissatisfication with the food once we had so much uneaten steak left on our plates and us only eating the rice and calamari. The manager came around and first said that we ate most of our food which I then had to project to say I hadn't I only had 2 pieces and it was cold and my steak also had lots of fat on. She suggested remaking the meals for us but we refused as we were just too cold to be sat there for any longer and just wanted to leave. She then went into the back and came back suggesting 50% off the mains. My partner was willing to pay the full amount regardless but we took that. I'm just a bit sad because I felt like it ruined my birthday which is actually today and I was soooo looking forward to that weeping tiger meal I had before that came sizzling with flames on the iron pan. It deffo did not come out like that... Tbf I don't think I'd be returning but if cold is your way to go...

Visited Sabai Sabai Moseley. We always go for special occasions, hence my work mates for a special birthday got me a £30 voucher. Called spoke with a young lady who said I had 12mths and to book online. So I did stating I had the voucher to use. We turn up the same young lady remembered my call and sat us. Then our drinks request arrived and the lady manager comes out asking about the voucher so I showed her stating obviously we will pay the difference, she asks how it was done I said I didn't know as a gift have to assume online and she goes off with it. We are now eating our starter she comes back out asking further questions and goes off again, we ate now on main she comes back in a fully booked restaurant stating we cant use the voucher as theres no QR code, I lean over pointing out the massive QR code was printed in the reverse side she say ih sorry and goes off again. By now my partner and I are both highly embarrassed with other tables looking at us. When we finally ask for the bill as I just wanted to go, another lady gives us the bill £70+, I look and can see no deduction so she comes back for payment and I start to say we have and she finishes the sentence for me... a voucher I said yes so she says she knows, says sorry and goes off bringing a new bill. My partner whispers it's like they did everything not to honour it and I had to agree! The whole thing left me upset and fuming as what was supposed to be a nice treat turned out the total opposite. No apology for the constant interruptions or whole mess. I had to leave this review as whilst the food is lovely this was not customer service and needs to be addressed, why take part in offering vouchers if you dont want to supply the goods? It's simply taking...
