Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant — Restaurant in Birmingham

To celebrate Ethiopian New Year (September 11th) we ate at the Lalibela restaurant, a truly amazing place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. My husband and son had the meat option and I had the vegan platter which was a delightful mix of different pulses and veg on injera. A restaurant that well deserves more customers to experience something a little different. A very pleasant surprise when staying in the Jewelry Quarter - a short walk away from my hotel. Saw this very modest place by pure chance and decided to give it a go. Was warmly welcomed by the owners who cooked Gaslight tibs served with wholemeal injera. The food is incredible, the vegan platter is a personal favourite, and with such reasonable prices. The meat is also all halal.
