Read moreWe went to see Teddy Swims on the Thursday 16th May I have no problem with the concert it was fantastic. Teddy Swims was amazing, my problem is the fact that I'm disabled and need an end seat so I can stretch my legs out as I have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis to name just 2 illnesses I suffer from. We go for balcony seats as I can't stand for a concert and need a seat. Last time we went in 2023 it was brilliant, however last night thanks to the staff there it wasn't. I'd left my walking stick at my sister but we had my nephews expensive GT umbrella in the car which I was able to use as a walking stick and as it rained while we queued it came in very handy. When It ucame to going in i was told i couldn't take the umbrella in, I tried to explain I needed a walking stick and if I could just use it to get up to the balcony I'd gladly put it behind the bar and collect it later, no i was told I couldn't do that all the time people were going in and the chance of an end seat was dwindling. However a man who worked there came forward and promised he would put it somewhere safe and we could collect it from the security after the show. I asked where the lift was as i struggle with stairs only to be told there wasnt one on the entrance to the balcony. My sister rushed up the stairs to try to get us seats and I struggled up them this took me nearly 30 mins and at the top I was in a bad way. I got to my sister who had gotten seats on the front row of the balcony 2 seats in as the end 2 seats were reserved. The venue has now installed a metal barrier all around the balcony. If anyone with any sense had done this they would have checked that anyone sitting in the front row would still be able to see the stage without have to try to sit like the hunchback of Notre Dame to get a view. After the support I went and asked if anyone was going to sit in the seats as I was in agony now with my legs being cramped in a bent position and having to try to hunch down in my seat to see the stage. I was told someone was coming to sit on the end seat. All through the main act we waited for someone to come and sit in these seats but noone did. When Teddy came back on for his encore a man appeared sat down filmed Teddy singing Lose Control then left Teddy sang 1 more song and the concert was over. We went to collect the Umbrella only to be told its in that bin there's went through all the cheap crappy umberellas only to find ours had been stolen. I am not impressed with the staff at this place at all. As this umbrella wasn't mine I now have to come up with £30.00 to replace it. So if you do go don't sit on the front row of the balcony as all you will see if you arent a contortionist is a metal barrier and never trust them with your property as they don't give a damn about you things. The picture shows you the view from the balcony absolutely disgusting. Get...
Read moreThis is my review from trying to see The Vamps on 14th September 2024. Firstly I asked the staff where is the O2 Priority queue was, and all they said was join the balcony queue? I asked different members of staff and they all said the same thing. So was there no O2 Priority queue for this event?
I know me and my boyfriend had tickets for balcony but being an O2 Priority member it would have been nice to join this queue. Secondly the balcony queue, I couldn't believe how long it was, I was thinking to myself whilst waiting how are they all going to fit us in there, and whilst queuing we could see the standing queue as well which looked even longer.
We couldn't believe how many people there was. Anyway finally get our tickets checked, also during this my boyfriend was asked to take his cap off?? he's been to so many concerts with me wearing his cap and for the first time ever he gets asked to take off. Why is this? there is no weapon under his cap, do you think he was going to throw the cap at the band we can't even see because there was no seats available? Ridiculous.
Anyway we make our way to the balcony and all the seats are taken as I mentioned! However the front rows of each side was available but had paper notices on them, no idea what they said as it was dark but they were not available clearly. Started to make our way out of the venue as there was no seats and people were already standing on the balcony.
We were just shocked, I chose balcony tickets to get a seat as I struggle to stand for long periods of time due to a foot condition that I have, if I knew it would just end up being standing but on balcony instead I wouldn't have bothered purchasing the ticket. There shouldn't be any standing on the balcony, that should be for the floor only! Why you may ask well for safety.
As we were leaving one of the staff members asked why we were going, I said because there is no seats, he suggested we go to the box office to see if they could help. We did this and all the guy at the box office said was "Oh the seats are gone you have to stand" how lazy of an answer was that, he didn't even try. Why couldn't I have had one of those seats that were available at the front rows? I will never know but I can't believe how unorganised and unsafe this whole event was.
Personally I think I dodged a bullet with this show because clearly you let too many people in. What would have happened if a fire started? Or even a terrorist attack, it would have been awful because you let too many people in. I think you sell more tickets compared to what the actual venue can hold and that is so wrong.
Here's the thing about your venue, your just after peoples money that's all. You don't care about our safety. This experience has really put me off coming back to this venue and I won't be returning as I know you won't...
