Savanna Birmingham (Habesha Cuisine. I recently visited Savanna Birmingham, and it was a truly delightful experience. As someone who enjoys authentic East African cuisine, I was excited to try their Habesha food, and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Shekla Tibs, and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, sizzling hot, and served traditionally, just the way it should be. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it clear that the kitchen takes pride in their craft. What really stood out to me, beyond the food, was the warm and welcoming service. The staff provided a first class experience, dressed in traditional attire that added a special cultural touch to the evening. This family run restaurant really deserves you to come and try it for yourself as it is the complete package; great food, friendly service, lovely music and a relaxed atmosphere. If you have not tried Eritrean or Ethiopian food you must come and try it here as you'll leave happy and satisfied. Definitely try the platters as they are the best way to get acquainted with the rich, sweet, tangy and sour flavours of Ethiopian food!! Can't wait to...
