Our server Tashi was very pleasant and helpful. The food was tasty and portion size decent. The drinks were also good quality. We were forgotten about a little once we had eaten our mains, but we were easily able to get the attention of staff anyway. Plenty of vegan options, although I'd like to see some meat substitutes, rather than mushrooms, jackfruit chilli etc. I deducted a star, mainly because the place is expensive. Two of us dined and I don't drink - we had a starter each, a main each, a desert each and a side each, as well as a few dips. My partner had three cocktails and I had two mocktails and two cokes. Even with 25% off the bill and a £30 voucher, it was still £65 which I feel really is on the pricey side. For a nacho starter with a topping you're looking at about £12 which I feel is expensive, even for the location - £8 max would be reasonable. However, the experience was a good one and the host/manager was lovely too - even giving me a free sample of their alcohol free liqueur. Thus, I don't resent the price and I don't mind paying for something good, but as a mature student I couldn't justify going here more than once or twice a year for a special occasion. Given it is NYE I feel the place should have been full, but it can't have been more than about 2/3 full - perhaps the price point is off-putting to some. The atmosphere was good with a live DJ throughout and the young blonde lady running food for the kitchen was really sweet and helpful and concerned to ensure we got the dietary information we asked for and offering to change our deserts if we weren't comfortable. Although they have 25% off for students, this isn't applied for cocktails that are already of 2-4-1, dips on 3 for £1.50 etc. Applying the discount to the entire bill might make it more affordable. I just feel if it were a bit cheaper, I could justify going more often and that this may be better for them as a business rather than only receiving one...

Feeling a bit excited after a monster new years work out... I arrived at las iguanas and was feeling a bit of fajita, unfortunately I left without eating a single thing, there were several staff on hand and zero customers, I requested a meal without tomatoes 🍅 which seemed to cause the a massive issue as I was advised the only dish other than a burger 🍔 . The burger wasn't an issue I just didn't want to eat that ... all I was told I could eat was a mushroom stack. Given the allergy and the fact I hate mushrooms I ended up leaving after drinking a solitary juice.
The menu items are vast and couldn't accommodate a basic allergy restriction I was extremely disappointed.
My server a young lady was extremely apologetic and tried to make several trips into the kitchen to talk to the chef but alas everything was prepared with 🍅 tomatoes and couldn't be served. Even when I offered to have things without salsa this still wasn't able to resolve the issue.
In the new year this is a bad start for dining out, I was reluctant to leave a review as I didn't eat anything but for all those other people with allergies this is for you guys.

Read moreThis absolutely disappoints us. The service was a huge disgrace.
The waitress at the reception was unwelcoming when we arrived. It was not busy at that time. We would like to have a table of 7 including children. The waitress was impolite and we had to wait for quite a while. We thought that maybe she just started working in her shift and was not totally prepared.
After we made the order, we had been waiting for more than 40 minutes but no food was served. We asked the waitress for query. What and how she replied was terrible. Without any apology, she sounded like she was in a debate and told us impatiently it was only 35 minutes and our order was large.
What made it totally unacceptable was the table nearby who arrived later than us got the food already. They got children, BUT we had children as well. Our children had been waiting for 45 minutes. How come the waitress prioritised their order over us. This doesn’t make...
