Firstly, Id like to preface I’ve been going to this salon for 3 years and normally love their nails.

The reason for this 2/5 review is due to long wait times, short lasting pedicure & an issue with asymmetry with my nails.

Even despite booking an appointment for 12, I was expecting to wait at least 15 minutes as that is the norm with this salon, even if you do have a booking. On this occasion I was in a hurry, so it was especially inconvenient to be waiting until 12:45 (45 minutes after my booking time! ) to start my pedicure. I do understand and sympathise that it is a first come first serve basis with walk ins, but I do think there should be more staff after 12 as it always seems to get busy around that time and I can’t believe 45 minutes is an acceptable waiting time.

I booked for a pedicure with gel & a full acrylic nails design set. The pedicure was okay, I do feel like I have had better before, and although the pedicure was advertised & revamped according to the salon remodel as a new and fresh pedicure service, it did feel the same from a customer point of view, and felt quite rushed & rough compared to other times I have been here. Less than a week later my nails were chipping, which I haven’t experienced before (especially from this salon, as their pedicures are normally done to a high standard). I suspect this is because it was rushed and my nails weren’t prepped as much as they should’ve been.

Onto the nails. I requested a full design set of medium length almond nails with a design. I don’t think I had normally had my nails done from this lady before as I normally get it done from the men at the salon. When she was filing my acrylics I noticed all my nails were significantly shorter than my thumb & middle finger nail. And completely different lengths to my other hand!

Normally I am not super picky or precise with my nails as I do trust them to do a good job as they have done in the past, but the difference in lengths were so obvious (2-3cm!!!) that I had to point it out as I didn’t want to leave with my nails being unequal considering I was paying over £100 in total for my hands & feet.

When mentioning that my nails are completely disproportionate, I was given a dismissive and slightly rude reply saying my nails on my middle and thumb were always going to be much longer than the others & there was no difference between my 2 hands. I replied to that saying, I did not request different lengths between the fingers & I have never ever seen that be a thing before! I’m used to having all my nails be the SAME length, not some shorter some longer!!

After a long 5 minutes of me measuring my fingers against each other and showing the glaring’ly obvious length difference between my hands, only then did the lady apply more acrylic on the tip of my nails. Honestly, I’m not one to complain much when I get my nails done or be super precise with the lengths, as I do trust the nail technicians here. But to do such a big difference between my nails and make some look a lovely length & the other hand as stubs & then act like I’m the one being ‘extra’ and treat me in a rude dismissive manner is unacceptable, as I am paying for a service which I expect to be at a high standard.

All in all when we got to the end of the appointment, I loved my nails but was not impressed at all with the service and lack of attention to detail & the durability of my pedicure. Thus the 2 stars.

It seems the quality of products & customer care has taken a big decline unfortunately and I would not recommend the salon if you are super precise with your nails/dont want to wait a long time to be seen as some techicans are amazing but some are not, and it just depends on the person who ends up servicing you! I've never had my nails been done before. This was my first time so I can't really be a big judge on this. The nails itself looked pretty. Very close to the reference photo I had given the lady. I asked her to make it as short as possible in Almond shape. Although the nails itself looked amazing. The service and aftercare was not at all. First of all, they said they welcome in walk ins but do not have the correct amount of staff to facilitate for the amount of people that come in to do nails. Me and my friends went in at a very quite time but were still made to wait about 50mins (bc they had appointments they were waiting for, who showed up late) before anything was done. Then they put the initial shape base (idk what it's called but the plastic bit that they shape for the nails) and then had to wait another 40mins till we had our nails done. Secondly, the woman who did my actual design was very rough and horrible. There was a girl before me who was trying to get her nails done for her 18th, and said that she got recommended this place by her sister. But this girl got the worst treatment. She wanted her sisters opinion because she was unsure herself and nervous but the lady doing the nails kept snapping at her saying that "it's your nails, you tell me", pushing her phone away saying "stop asking them, you tell me". She kept tugging on the poor girls arm. After the woman finished with the girl, she didn't do any aftercare or remove the glue on her fingers and she had cut the girl's hand, when filing her nails, in several places, and then she just told the girl to go to the counter and told me to come over. When it came to my turn, my hands were being pulled left right and centre. I didn't go on my phone or anything but she kept acting like I kept moving. She was very rough and not thorough. She had made my hands so sore and cut me a lot. The glitter application was uneven and some of the nails are too. And although the face looks great, underneath the nails had not been filed at all. It is bumpy and uneven and there was just big chunks of acrylic. She was very grumpy. And seemed like all she cared about was how quickly she can get through each person, rather than the quality and experience. I give this place 4 stars because the other workers who attended my friends did amazing jobs, were efficient and handled their customers with care. I even watched as one of the lovely gentlemens run after my sister out of the store to put cuticle oil on her nails. Their nails looked amazing and were precise. I guess I was unlucky with my experience. However I've only been once so im going to give the benefit of the doubt and try again at sometime.

EDIT: I will NOT be returning. After multiple visits since my first review there’s been on going issues , lack of customer service and basic standards of hygiene. How you are spoken to as a customer and how your issues are dealt with are more than unprofessional i will not be returning to this salon since contracting an infection due to the lack of hygiene and lack of awareness. Not a nice welcoming atmosphere at all, they dont talk to you , they’ll just stare at you and talk between themselves about customers thinking that you can’t understand them because they don’t talk in English , extremely RUDE!!!

It is a shame that people care more about saving some pounds than ensuring their clients are happy and have had a good full and proper experience In their salon. I was issued a refund which wasn’t given to me out of genuineness and the willingness to solve the issue it was given because they had to and I was told not to return again. Tell your staff to start cleaning their stations properly , sanitise everything before and after clients and give the place a deep clean!!!

I desperately needed a removal and a full set. I came here on a spontaneous one because I was already in the city centre so I googled nearby nail salons and this one popped up. I called up and they were able to fit me in right away which was great. I believe they have a booking system online but I know from experience you can also call up and ask for an appointment. I was seated by a man called Min I believe so sorry if I got it wrong ! He was professional and polite. He was gentle and made sure I was happy with the shape as the process went on. I went for a French tip my absolute go to , so I am always making sure my nails look good and I am happy before I leave the chair , I had absolutely no issues what so ever the entire time.
