We decided to eat here and we are glad we did. On the face of it it looks like just a bakery. However, if you head through the bakery and up a couple of steps you enter a large spacious eating area. The decor is clean and modern but it also encompasses some older features such as the balcony and windows. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I had a panini which was great value for money, it also involved a nice side salad which I’d normally ditch but this one was definitely worth eating. You won’t regret eating here.

My partner loves pasties but I don’t so visiting the cafe in the back suited the both of us. Large portion of jacket potato with lots of filling. Lovely Cornish tea too.

Amazing place, looks just like a small bakers shop from outside, but there is a huge seating and dinning area at the back. I would have given this place a 5 however when we went in we were told we could order our cakes and bakery items in the front, instead of the coffee shop till in the seating/restaurant area...so that's what we did, the prices for takeaway and eat in are different so I made a point of telling the young lady that we were on table 8 and would be eating in. She put the bakeries in bags and told us that the coffees would come to our table....all great....we sat at our table and was approached by a lady from the coffeeshop part who said did we want our coffee to go, I said no thanks and she said she but your receipt says takeaway...I pulled out my copy of the receipt and indeed it also said takeaway, it also said table 8 so I assumed the takeaway bit just ment I had ordered from the takeaway till at the front....anyway a few mins latter two of the staff come across to me and tell me that "I have made a mistake" and that they will let me off this time, but next time can I please only order from the till in the seating restaurant area and not the takeaway till at the front if I want to eat in...they said it's because the prices are different and they will serve the bakeries on plated instead of in bags... I pointed out that I knew the prices were different and that I had specifically told the young girl at the front that we were eating in and which table...I didn't have an issue with getting the bakeries in bags and no plates, when the coffee arrived in cups I then had to ask for milk and I noticed in the menu on the wall that they charge extra for milk in the coffee...I offered to make up any shortfall in the bill, they grumbled a bit and again said no worries just make sure you order from the right till next time.. it was a shame that I was made to feel like I was in the wrong, the young girl at the front may have made an administrative mistake, but mistakes happen, she dealt with me as a customer, she was polite and friendly, but the two ladies in the back didn't have the same customer service skills. I'm sure the admin procedure of orders from the front to be eaten in is something that can easily be fixed, but it's how you deal with issues that really reflect customer service and how I was made to feel like I was in the wrong and was trying to diddle them for a few quid on paying takeaway prices instead of the eat in prices very much spoiled the customer experienced, which would have...

Absolutely shocking experience. They got the order wrong in 3 places, ordered chips with scrambled egg and a separate order of chips and fried egg. Both came out scrambled. Missing item from my pannini then when I asked to have it I was addressed by the rudest response if it hadn't of been I had two young children with me I would of left. The chips here uncooked, the service poor. Then half way through the girls eating they came out with 2 fried eggs clearly the cook needs retraining as they were burnt.

Over cooked, under cooked. Poor service over priced for the quality that came out. Or lack of quality I should say. Completely ruined our lunch and our visit to Bodmin.

They also got another 2 families meals wrong in the 20 mins we were they. Staffing clearly needs...

Popped in for a breakfast today with my brother and my 2 children. Totally over priced and very poor quality. They charge per item and it racks up in price. No kids menu for breakfast either. The eggs had been left in pan too long and the toast was burnt black. Even on the kids plates. I just wouldn’t have served it like that. It was also stone cold the toast. I was given a refund for 50% on one of the kids meals but not the other as she had beans and not an egg! But when the plate with the 2 eggs on toast came out it was only one egg on toast so it wasn’t a 50% refund they took 50% of the meal away! I said thanks and goodbye as I left and wasn’t even acknowledged. Sadly we won’t be back to the cafe. This review of for the cafe only … the take away...
