5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in Lytham!
Elvins Street Food is an absolute delight! Tucked away in a lovely little shopping centre called The Walk, this spot is a must-visit if you’re in Lytham and love fresh, wholesome street food with a homemade touch.
They offer a fantastic variety of meals—from colourful Buddha bowls and generous sharing boxes to tasty meal boxes. There are great vegan and vegetarian options too, which is always a win!
I had the vegan kebab and it was absolutely delicious. I was so hungry I didn’t even manage to get a photo—that’s how good it was! My husband had the Lebanese-style chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it—it had a perfect kick of spice.
I also bought a bottle of their homemade vegan sauce, which is just divine! Packed with flavour and clearly made with love.
What makes Elvins even more special is the experience—you can watch your food being freshly prepared over the counter by the chef himself. He even took a moment to chat with me about his amazing sauce, which was such a lovely personal touch.
The customer service was brilliant too. The lady at the counter (I think her name was Michelle!) was incredibly friendly and gave great recommendations.
Whether you’re grabbing food on the go or want to perch outside on one of the seats, this is a beautiful little place with heart, soul, and big flavours....
Read moreI recently ordered food from here and the nice lady behind the counter asked if I could leave a review for them.
I can't believe we've had food from here before and we've never commented on how good it is. First of all the service whether you ring ahead or order in person is very friendly and personable.
The food as well though... 🤤
Elvins is located down a, what I guess you would call an alley or a ginell, in Lytham High Street and as soon as you enter you're met with a wave of wonderful warm, earthy, smelling spices.
It's a mixture of African/middle Eastern dishes varying from Moroccan to Turkish to Lebanese inspired dishes. A breath of fresh air in an area where a lot of food outlets is very similar and not very inspired. They even manage to make burger and chips seem fresh and innovative.
I can't recommend the food and service enough. I got into cooking a lot during the lockdowns while Covid was at its height and my partner says its spoilt us for a lot of restaurants and takeaways but there's certain places like Elvins (and Imli or Tang) that you just can't replicate at home.
If you're visiting the area whether you're looking for Street food or just a really tasty lunch or tea...especially if you fancy something a bit different I would highly recommend you go and give Elvins a try. You...
Read moreHaving visited the area for a day trip towards the end of November 2024, we were wondering about the center looking for somewhere that could cater for my gluten and milk free dietary needs. We were really struggling after looking in most cafes, pubs and restaurants, until the smell of the food walking past the walkway to this place caught our attention… the smell was divine! What a hidden gem. I asked a lovely member of staff behind the counter if there was anything on the menu I could have, at which point she read out many options and explained various meals that I could safely have as well as other options to adapt the various meals with vegan yoghurt or hummus, salad, chips, rice etc - - all GF and milk free, to accompany the dishes. I had a beautifully delicious chicken dish with the bread omitted, served with salad and chips and vegan yoghurt. I wish I lived more local or I would certainly frequent this place more often. Such a lovely atmosphere and this will definitely be my go to next time I’m in the area. It’s so refreshing to find proper, unprocessed food that doesn’t compromise on flavour when trying to work around the gluten and milk issue. All the staff were so kind and patient, seemed knowledgeable and the atmosphere, decor, cleanliness were all outstanding...
