Not the same as what it use to be, but times change. Prices have gone up in price pretty steep in comparison too. I don’t visit here all too often so I can’t comment on the live shows aspect but the impression you get as soon as you walk in is that it’s just for students to get drunk. As a 25 year old I felt old in there for a Saturday night. Nice decor and staff are friendly and a relatively decent selection of beers to choose from. Cocktails are two for one… however they do seem very weak, especially the Ex On The Beach, I didn’t taste a single bit of the vodka (Some may see that as good) I think for me personally it will take a night with a live band (Upstairs and for my personal taste) and a bit of an older generation in to decide whether the newer Adelphi deserves a true five stars. I don’t feel like it’s a harsh review by giving it three stars as obviously it’s always down to a personal review.

8 of us had a lovely afternoon doing the bottomless brunch. Our server Shona was fantastic. She was really friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and that our drinks stayed full. She clearly loves her job as she was always smiling. The food was lovely, and our party was very happy with the selection of drinks in the bottomless package. The atmosphere in the pub was good and the time allowed for the bottomless drinks was just right and we did not feel rushed at all. We have all been recommending the Adelphi Bottomless brunch to our friends.

One of the best pubs in preston, very good prices on both drinks and food, there's a pool table and consoles for you to burn some time or even for a casual get together with some friends, also they host drum and bass nights from time to time on the second floor which is a great place to go for a change from the saturated usual club scene in preston. Absolutely recommend either for the alternative event night out or the pub evening with some friends.

In for the world cup semi finals. Ended up with a table reserved by chance as I'd arrived early incase one was cancelled, so score on that front! Lots of TVs about and obviously it was super busy! We wanted to order food. Took our time choosing something so went n ordered. Pretty much everything wasn't available! Think of a double sided A4 menu. They only had (from what I saw coming out) burgers, onion rings, pickles, wings, fries. I chose 3 things to be told that it weren't Available. Theyre changing menu's. Poor time to be doing that me thinks? I imagine they lost a lot of money during world cup dates with lack of options! Its also Wing Wednesday and 25p a wing which they had but get this.. you can't have anything on them whatsoever! They come plain?? I know, crazy right. I saw they had blue cheese and hot sauce as a topping for some set wings on the menu priced at £4 something. Was told 'no, we can't put that on Ur wings it would mess with the stock levels' Haha! So your offering plain wings with absolutely zero sauce or topping on em as 25p a wing. She then suggested I just put brown or tomatoes sauce on em??? So that makes it steep! Never heard anything so hilarious. But yeah my grind was with the food and lack of forthought during an obviously busy time. They should have produced a menu of what they DID have to save time and confusion seens as it was so so little. I was forced to abandon my 25p wings and choose the more expensive wings on the menu JUST TO GET the blue cheese! Still fuming 6days later lol Mess with the stock...

The look of the place is alright. The staff are toxic, egotistical and entitled to be right.

The staff member a team member called Kat a paramedic who only gets told general knowledge she tried telling me having electrolytes with water while you drink will cause blood clots which is not true unless you are 2-5% of the general population depending on the country.

Kat tried telling me salt increases blood viscosity which is incorrect. Salt can increase blood pressure by constricting blood vesicles. Because I was right and didn’t just blindly agree to incorrect medical knowledge the manager chose to side with her and be condescending.

I have researched nutrition and pharmacology for 7 years so the short gingery manager trying to tell me I googled what I told her to argue was belligerent; she said that it is allowed for her to be defensive because she’s a manager which is her basically saying I can do what I want because I have power.

Water gives you hydration and electrolytes control how the body regulates water. Alcohol dehydrates the body so an increased intake of water and electrolytes is ideal when...

We went as a table of 4 and the table we were seated was booked for 2:30 which was fine as we planned on leaving before then.

One of the group had ordered food which arrived at 2:05 and at 2:15 one of the bar women came over mid meal and said… we need the table back now (at 2:15, despite the sign on the table saying reserved from 2:30). We didnt move at that point, who picks up their plate of food to move to a different table in a largely quiet pub?

My friend felt under pressure to finish his food and ended up dishing it out to the rest of the table, subsequently feeling unwell due to the huge rush to finish the food.

The two people came to the table we were seated and the bar lady seemed like she was laughing and joking as if they were mates, meanwhile we were made to feel like customers of lesser value.

We are regulars here and feel extremely disappointed how we’ve been treated, it’s unacceptable.

The moral of the story don’t come here when brunches are on because they will take priority over regular...
