Service was great but the portion sizes were disappointing. Ordered smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and halloumi which cost over £10 which was 1 small slice of sourdough with a thin layer of avocado and four slices of halloumi. Overpriced in my opinion. We also ordered waffle with salted caramel which was £4.95 so we expected freshly cooked. Unfortunately this was shop bought. Outside was warm but the middle was cold. Real disappointment compared to my last visit.

Four of us went here for coffee and cakes, on Saturday 16th Sept. There was a great selection of cakes all tasty and fresh, good-sized portions. Also, there is a good selection of milk for the latte. The service was excellent and the staff were polite and friendly. There is also a good selection of hot foods etc, which we will try on our next visit. 😀

Absolutely lovely. Very friendly staff. Extensive menu which made it hard to choose. It was my 1st visit, and I will certainly be back.

Had some dinner here last week and it was beyond disappointing to say we are regulars to the cafe. My food order was wrong when I clearly pointed out on the menu what I wanted, the waitress was rude and not understanding. The groups food was brought out at a different time so I had nearly finished mine by the time my family received their food. You never know what other people are going through especially when they make special requests, this was for good reason as my nephew has autism. Therefore he suffers with what foods he will eat so we requested 2 hash browns and a pot of beans as it’s the only thing he would eat, only to be told “ we’re too busy we can’t do that”. But if I would of been getting a breakfast they would of had to Cook hash browns and warm some beans up anyway. ( I understand when it’s busy but there was no apology or understanding as to why we wanted that specific meal for him ). Overall, the food was bland and the tomato soup was sour like there was no sugar added to balance the acidity. This is unfortunate because it was our...

☹ ☹☹☹ DISAPPOINTED!!!!

We had the Ploughman served on a bit of slate at £8.95 which needs to be relisted as a side salad.

NOT what I would call crusty bread nore was there any Cheddar Chesse or Apple. Only One slice of tomato. One slice of cucumber. Two bits of Lettuce. Three bits of mixed Cheese. only a shop bought mini pork pie. pot of mixed pickle and six gurkin.

Before you serve another Ploughman your Chef needs to be re-educated get a book or even Google it to see what real Ploughman is made up of. We spent over £27 at that price we could have gone over to ASDA and gone into their cafe and got a meal twice as good at a fraction of the price.

For what we had with service cost less than £7 Nice £20 proffit on top

AVOID!!!! this place has gone downhill that's probably why there where only 4 table's taken when we went...

Food was as usual excellent, what wasn't was the service, it's usually very slick and efficient, but today it was awful.... we'd been finished eating mains for 20 + mins before the plates were removed, no asking if we wanted desert, 10 minutes later I have to get up and go to pay as again no waiter/waitress in sight, complain at the till to be told sorry we are very busy.... I've been here loads of times and it's the quietest I've ever seen it TBH. I have no issue waiting for freshly prepared food, but clearing plates and selling desert and further drinks is...
