Update August 2023

After five years or so of living in the Rossendale Valley and travelling overseas, I’m so happy to return home after travelling and visit my favourite coffee shop Siphon. So much so that I try to organise my flight arrival time so I can stop off and get my coffee fix before I get home! The coffee, the cakes and pastries are so good. But what makes me miss it most is the atmosphere and the staff. It would not be the same without their excellent customer service and friendly caring manner. When I return from my travels and visit Siphon, it just feels like coming home. Great coffee, fabulous staff and wonderful, friendly, returning customers who feel like family. It’s such a heart warming atmosphere. Thank you everyone 🙏🙏🙏🙏

OMG...the coffee is sooooooo good! Coffee lovers....you can’t do better than here......and staff make you feel...

Went for a coffee and lunch with my Grandson. I asked if they could make just a little ham sandwich on bread for my Grandson as he doesn't like toasties. I was told that they could not make a sandwich as not on the menu. I offered to pay the price of the toastie but they said no. I ended up.ordering a ham toastie. When it came it was a cheese and ham toastie. I gave up.in the end. For the price of 7 quid you'd think they would make a effort , I mean how hard is it to make a little ham sandwich when they have plenty of bread .Very poor. Coffee was luke warm and I had to ask for some hot...

Visited this establishment a few times now; the cakes are great; they’re home-made and taste nice. I noticed a good selection of coffees available too. I also noticed on my visits that it wasn’t an adequate temperature. My last visit, there were others in the shop sitting with coats on; this was due to the heating obviously not being on at a temperature high enough and the door being left open too. Why would you keep a door open with a stop underneath during the cold season? Some of the tables are uneven on the floor too and need packing. Other than that, it’s a great coffee shop in a...

Nice relaxed atmosphere but wouldn’t return. Ordered: Chai: needed more spices, otherwise was overpowered by sweetness. Siphon toast with almond banana honey: nothing special, overpriced - see photo. Soup: decent, would have been better with a sourdough bloomer bread or something more special, or garnish on top of soup for presentation. Would I go back? Not unless it was pouring outside and I needed to hop into a cafe for a warm cosy simple drink.

Just happened upon this coffee shop while exploring Rawtenstall and really happy I did. Coffee is great and locally roasted. The pastries are either made by the cafe or by local merchants. So far I’ve tried the flat white and cortado, both very smooth and usually my indicator of whether or not I will return, I will return. Today I tried their peanut brownie, delicious. Previously we had one of their began options, a surprisingly pleasant experience.

A cute and cosy independent coffee shop. Loved the vibes of this place and the staff were very welcoming. The cappuccino was great and the croissant was really nice. However, me and my friends weren’t so keen on the rest of the food we bought but that’s just us, you might like it. The prices were great! All in all, it’s a nice place and I do recommended for you to try it yourself 😊
