I recently dined at TGI Friday's Staines with my partner, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty (with only about 10 tables occupied), we had to wait for a good 3-4 minutes before being seated. The staff were all gathered at the back, chatting and giggling, completely oblivious to the customers waiting to be served. When we were finally seated, it was done with reluctance, and our request for a warmer seat was dismissed outright. Although I could clearly see that other sections of the restaurant were open, we were told they were closed and were forced to sit directly under a vent. This felt more like an excuse for laziness than a genuine restriction. The service was painfully slow. Despite the restaurant being far from busy, we waited 15-20 minutes just for our drinks. The waitstaff seemed more interested in socialising with each other than attending to their customers. Orders were confused, and there was a noticeable lack of care in how they handled our requests. When our nachos arrived, no plates were provided, and we had to specifically ask for them, which is just basic service. To make matters worse, my second order of drinks was completely missed. I ordered another drink while eating the nachos, but it never arrived, despite me reminding the staff. By the time I was halfway through my main course, I had to cancel the drink altogether. There was no apology from the staff for this oversight, which only added to the overall frustration. The food itself was another letdown. I ordered hot wings that were supposed to be tossed in Frank's hot sauce, but they arrived dry and bland. I had to pay an additional £1.25 for extra sauce, which still wasn’t enough. My partner’s chicken burger was adequate, but nothing exceptional. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. The toilets were filthy, with broken seats, foul smells, and toilet paper scattered everywhere. I was also shocked to see staff eating McDonald's food in the dining area—hardly a vote of confidence in the quality of their own kitchen. It feels like this restaurant has been left to the staff to run without any proper management oversight, and it’s clearly not working. The poor service, subpar food, and lack of cleanliness make it hard to recommend this place to anyone.I’m writing this review to warn potential customers—think twice before dining here. The entire experience was disappointing, and I noticed similar dissatisfaction from other...
Read moreSubject: Disappointing Experience at TGI Fridays, Staines - Two Bridges
I regret to say that my recent visit to TGI Fridays at the Staines - Two Bridges location was far from the enjoyable experience I anticipated. From the onset, the service was notably below par. Our waitress, Holly, seemed utterly indifferent to our presence and needs. An evident lack of attention was given when the food, which was cold upon arrival, failed to meet basic expectations. Equally concerning was her response (or lack thereof) to my inquiry about the NHS staff discount with the blue light card, which she completely ignored. This not only felt dismissive but was quite rude.
Given the circumstances, I felt compelled to speak with the manager, Tyreek, hoping for some resolution or at least acknowledgment of the poor service. Unfortunately, he was equally dismissive and did not address our concerns in any constructive manner. His approach was equally as rude, adding to the already frustrating experience.
To add insult to injury, the food was absolutely disgusting. As someone who has been a loyal patron of TGI Fridays, this experience at the Staines - Two Bridges location has left a bitter taste. It's disheartening as I've always enjoyed dining at other branches.
Furthermore, I've actually tried to reach out to the Staines - Two Bridges location only to be completely ignored, which adds to the frustration as I did try to resolve this directly. Given this lack of response, I feel it's important to share my experience publicly.
Given this experience, I cannot recommend TGI Fridays Staines - Two Bridges to anyone. It's disappointing to have to write such a review, as I’ve had numerous positive experiences with TGI Fridays in the past, but the lack of courtesy and poor quality of food at this particular location cannot be overlooked. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should have to endure such an unsatisfactory...
Read moreWe booked TGIs for our 1st wedding anniversary. Restaurant was very quiet. For the duration of our meal there was a table which had clearly had a big party on it which had not been cleared. Food all over the floor, dessert plates and glasses left all over the table. The dirty plates and glasses were eventually cleared. But the table was not cleaned for the duration of our stay. Considering they were not busy and a lot of the staff were stood around chatting this could have been cleared. Our server was very sweet and came armcross very friendly. We ordered our food everything was brought out at once. So whilst eating our starters our mains went cold. The waitress apologised this had happened and asked would they like them to reheat the food. When we had finished our mains they came to clear the plates and we said we didn't want to pay for the sides as they had gone cold and we had bearly touched then. The waitress brought the manager over and we explained the situation she apologised and agreed to take it off the bill and make the server aware of the mistake. For the duration of our stay the glasses we had finished with were not cleared from the table. We did decide to stay for dessert but wished we hadn't. The desserts were OK but did not make up for the experience. Service was slow as majority of the staff seemed to be gathered in the bar talking to each other and who I believe to either be friends of someone working there or people who worked there and were just not on shift at the time. We came away from the meal feeling very disappointed and upset with the meal. In the past we have both visited TGIs and the food and service was excellent and it was a real treat. But unfortunately tonight we felt extremely let down by the service, food and overall cleanliness of the restaurant. I would never visit...
