I expected the usual good facilities at this Cleveleys Costa.
Free WiFi not working on this day. I had to self clear my table before I could sit down to eat/drink, and many other customets doing so during the time I was there.
Baristas not outright rude, but cold conversation, based around what they needed to know to make the drink.
No smiles from anyone, and on the two occasions I went up to buy a drink, the server managed to serve me both times without saying either, please, or thank you. This actually takes some doing if you work in a customer facing situation.
The barista making area was muddled and totally messy, which weighs up the approach in this place.
Cafe very very busy, as always Costa having done their research on footfall in the high street location.
I should say that there was a junior young lady serving food at the store, who was very very busy and pleasant. She was running around trying to cope with her workload, whilst the four senior staff stood behind the counter, muddling through.
You won't be surprised to hear the toilets weren't particularly pleasant on the day either.
No competition in town at the moment so thiscstore will keep busy until such time as a rival Starbucks Coffe Shop appear in this...
Β Β Β Read moreAn experience never to be repeated - and not in good way. Called in for coffee on New Year's morning, waited in a long slow queue and paid over Β£6 for two lattes which were 75% hot water with a splash of coffee and cold milk. No biscuit or anything on the saucer, the drinks tasted awful and tables were not cleared. Might have bought a snack but they were way overpriced. No festive atmosphere at all. The worst part, though, was the toilet (just the one cubicle, for both genders to share). The plastic lid was broken, the floor horribly wet (and not with rain), the soap dispenser was empty and the toilet paper had run out. The previous occupant was already complaining at the counter, so I just left,...
Β Β Β Read moreI go there whenever i am in Cleveleys to have my coffee, as its right in the middle of town. Its a busy place even given the fact there dozens cafΓ© around but its shows the loyalty this chain has. I ordered a black coffe grabbed the paper and i was lucky to find a table, the queue was not long, most of the tables are occupied and there is a sitting outside for smokers and dog owners. The view is good through the big glass windows. The atmosphere is good but as i was finishing my coffee this couple were looking for a table so i got up and left. I noticed the place is designed not to stay long a sort of in and out premises, a bit different from...
