Family Bakery — Restaurant in Borough of Wyre

Nipped into this bakery last week for a quick takeaway lunch, as I was heading to a family member’s house and didn’t want to turn up empty-handed. The staff were so helpful – I spoke to a member of the team about my mum’s dietary requirements and they were really accommodating.

I tried the mini pasty and honestly, it was the best I’ve ever had – you can really taste the fresh, quality ingredients! The cakes I picked up went down a treat too. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve already asked my partner if we can go back to try the café.

We loved our family visit to the family bakery. Whilst there we had both food and drinks. The menu choices were good and would allow most people to find something good to eat. We had the roast ham sandwiches. The ham sandwich was perfect and came with a side salad. The salad was fresh and crispy. A really nice touch was that it came with both pickle and coleslaw condiments on the plate to add to your sandwich if you chose to. We also had meat and potato pasties which had a nice filling and crispy pastry. The coffee was OK but not amazing. Maybe I should have ordered an extra shot into my cappuccino. Lovely café & baker's shop combined. We had a light lunch and also bought some of the buns to go! The hot food was piping hot, and was all very tasty. Cheerful service from the staff, all of whom seemed a happy bunch. Our only criticisms would be, we had to ask to get the table cleaned, and then it was a quick wipe of the centre only, not that impressive.
