We visited this place for the first time on Saturday for an early birthday treat for my partner. He, myself, and his mum arrived as we had made a reservation a couple of days prior. We arrived a few minutes before our reserved time and the place seemed quite quiet as our booking was for 5.30 so it didn't seem too busy. We were met by a young lady who asked if we had a reservation we told her the name, she then spoke to another lady who asked us again if we had a reservation we told her the name again, the second lady asked us for the 3rd time if we had a reservation and then bellowed to the younger one. "Where are you putting them?" The way the second lady spoke to us, we had the feeling she just couldn't be bothered, and we felt we were an inconvenience. Her appearance seemed to add to that feeling. Our table wasn't ready, to which we stood and watched her throw the cutlery on the table again like we were an inconvenience, and it was our fault that she had to set up 3 sets of cutlery. When we sat down, the older lady said I will bring the menus over. "When I find out what I have on the menu to give you." She then disappeared. 10 minutes later, the younger lady came back with menus and did apologize for the wait, took our drinks order, and off she went. We chatted amongst ourselves and we waited, a few more people started to arrive and then the second lady was stood at the greeting desk and then promptly started having personal conversations on loud speaker on her phone to a member of staff who was clearly ringing in sick so it's obviously loud enough for us to hear, she continued for another 25 minutes standing there before she came over and took our order. I have to be honest her attitude left a lot to be desired, and it felt very uncomfortable. When the food arrived, we said that was the saving grace in this. It was nice although when I asked for some extra mayo and my partner asked for tomato sauce, we didn't get the tomato sauce and the mayo arrived as if it had been scooped in by hand and scrapped in by someone's finger. The whole vibe was very distorted and disappointing. The look of the place and the prices has high class vibes but we felt the service reflected of a cheap back street cafe, with her jeans and white t-shirt, I really can't be bothered attitude and hollouring through the kitchen hatch just really left us feeling like we could have spent our money...
Read moreAte at Joel’s restaurant last night. Had a few bits, baby chorizo, wild mushrooms and the appetiser board with those amazing gordall olives 🤤🤤 Kids menu was great too, my 5 & 2 year old were in their element! Hats off to the chef, everything we ate was delicious! I can’t recommend this place enough! The staff were lovely, very welcoming which made us feel super comfortable. The decor, lighting and music made it feel really relaxed whilst still being very contemporary. Overall just a great atmosphere! Oh and the cocktails weren’t bad either!🤭 An absolute gem of cleveleys, we will definitely...
Read more2nd visit and brought family members with us, I have to say it was a complete let down. We waited 45 minutes before having to get the waitress to order our drinks. Most things on the menu wasn’t available then after ordering starters it took 30 minutes for them to tell us our starters were available! Steaks were not cooked to how we asked. They were all rare!!!! We sent one back to have it cooked more and came back the same. My husband didn’t eat it. Shocking service, unprofessional waitresses with an attitude. Over priced for what you get. Will not...
