It's not often I rate a place with a single star, however in this case it is merited. This place was 'packed to the rafters' considering we're in the middle of a pandemic. There was little or no social distancing between people and the tables were quite close to each other. We went as a party of 6 for my daughter's birthday and were given a table for 4 with a seat and high chair stuck on the end. The temperature in there was such that it became difficult to eat our food without having to wipe the sweat off our face and necks at regular intervals. No fans or appropriate ventilation for the current climate. They offered a buffet with mediocre items in all 3 courses. When I have previously been to a buffet restaurant, there has been a whole array of choice with salads and sauces to boot. This place had oily chapli kebab, chips, dry chicken tikka, battered oily fish, seekh kebab, veg pakora and tough, stuck to the bone lamb chops. The main course had 3 rice dishes, 3 veg and lentil dishes, and 4 lamb and chicken dishes and undercooked in places naan bread. The keema aloo tasted like it was prepared by the apprentice, the tarka daal was bland, the lamb on the bone curry was a saving grace and the guy serving it all looked like he was sick of life and was living a mere existence. There were 4 sweet dishes, (sweet rice, sheer khorma, gulab jamun, kheer) and ice cream. The sheer khorma is what I'll remember most from this visit. It was made to perfection with the right amount of sweetness versus the creamy texture (mind blowing). My daughter needed to use their toilets. She felt the need to explain to the rest of us in graphic detail the state of the cubicle. She mentioned excrement around the bowl and the stench being unbearable. All in all, I would resent paying their asking price of £17 (including soft drinks) per head, but thankfully, Rishi Sunak did us all a favour by introducing the "Eat out to Help out" scheme. This meant that I only had to part with £39 of my hard earned dosh, and all because the queue in Lala's Restaurant was too long. Note to self: Always stick to your first choice.

7 of us went for a friends birthday. Four of the group have been several times and raved about it. 3 of us had never been. The 3 of us who have never been but have been to other similar style buffet meals, all felt that it did not compare to other well known places that offer this style. All in all very average at best, when one of the group went to pay after we had all transferred them money, they came back saying it was cash only and we had rustle up the money between us. The four who had been before said it wasn't as good as usual but they still enjoyed, non of the 4 have been to anywhere else tha does the buffet style service, so they had nothing similar to compare to.

Overall, the staff at the establishment are incredibly cooperative and friendly, which undoubtedly enhances the experience. However, the food quality is mediocre. My primary concern lies with the hygiene standards of their toilets. They were very unclean and dirty, with malfunctioning door locks, making it difficult to access. Furthermore, there was a significant issue with one of the pipes leaking into a plastic container placed under the basin, resulting in an unpleasant odor and unsanitary conditions. Additionally, one of the taps was out of order. It's baffling to see businesses survive with such glaring maintenance and cleanliness issues.

Booked the room upstairs for our sons 1st birthday party here with just immediate family and friends, when we went for the booking I remember stating the number of guests but when we went to clear the final bill before the day the price increased. However this was least of our worries, throughout the whole event the room upstairs was freezing regardless of the heating being on the cold draft was coming from the windows. It was embarrassing as our guests had to leave their coats on all evening. The gents toilets were in a very bad state, not clean, stunk of urine, spit on the walls, overall not clean. The lady who was setting out our buffet needs to be taught people skills and she’s definitely not approachable, quite rude to be honest, especially when one of my guests wanted to take half a bottle of coke with him for his journey she looked at him with disgust ‘we’ve paid for it so why?’, Finally we were told by the owner that if some of the guests don’t turn up he will pack the equivalent amount of food so we don’t lose out as we paid the full amount for each guest and they do not refund for guests not turning up which is understandable. However there was 12 guests that did not turn up but the food packed was for 4 people if that. One small tub of lamb curry is meant for 12 people lol one tub of carrot halva is for 12 people, the shocking list goes on. Really disgusting and disappointing the owner seemed true to his word until we went home and saw the little food packed. Overall the owner is a thief not true to his word and the food was not the best quite basic to be fair. If I had the option to rate this it would be 0 not 1. Very disappointed and dissatisfied will never come to this...

We decided to treat our son to a nice family meal for his birthday, so we went to Habib's restaurant. We've been there before several times as we've always had a good experience.

This time it was a little different. The food was nice/OK, but they kept running out of certain items like chips and fish pakoray due to there being many buffet customers. I guess they fell short of keeping a good watchful eye on the buffet. That was a downside, but otherwise their food is not only tasty, but they have a nice wide-ranging selection; which is a big plus.

Staff were friendly, polite and professional as usual.

The table next to us had ordered one-too-many mango lassies so decided to give it to us to prevent wasteage. Anyway I should have checked the bill there and then, but only checked it when I got home and noticed the restaurant had charged us for the expensive jug of mango lassie and another item we didn't order - totally an additional 10% of the entire bill. I rang them up to see if I could get a refund, but they said they couldn't do anything and I had to return there to sort it! That was annoying because I wasn't going to travel back to Bradford just for that! Therefore I would criticize the staff for over-zealosly charging for items without checking with the customer. This has left a bad taste with me so I will definitley be reconsidering going...
