What an amazing find. Very beautifully restored former post office oozing with history. It has been immaculately renovated over 2 years, and the attention to detail really shows because it is a pleasure to sit inside. We had a lovely warm welcome as soon as we walked in and we knew we'd made a great choice.
So many options of both hot and cold drinks, from mocha's to Fentimans. House coffee was a nice strength and very smooth. There is a full food menu including some very apetising warm sandwiches. Also a dessert menu that looked tempting. Our food was beautifully presented and made very quickly for us (wish we'd had more time to stay and try more!).
Dont be fooled by the frontage! We nearly didn't go in because we thought it was full, but turns out there is LOADS of seating inside, both at the back and upstairs!
There is a lovely seating area out the back which will no doubt be full on a sunny day!
When we left a group of holiday makers were about to pass by as they thought it was full... We sent them straight in so we hope they enjoyed as much as we did!
Please put some signs out to say you have the...

I ordered the flat iron steak, I asked for it medium, but was told I couldnt have it cooked medium, I could only have it rare or well done. I wonder why that is?. Anyway it arrived "well done" and with no garlic butter as it was stated it came with🤷♀️, the steak was just warm, so by the time I had got to the last piece it had gone cold. Chips were hot and that about it. Coffee was warm, not hot. Lastly me and my friend ordered a pudding each, and yes as you can probably guess what's coming next, correct, was barely warm ! You would expect a cherry and almond crumble to be hot ! I even ask the lovely gentleman who took our order if it would be hot? And he replied yes, it's a hot pudding !. So I left most of my cold crumble. Would I return? Most definitely, but...... I would ask for everything to be extra hot lol. 🙂 Also there was not 1 item on the menu that was chicken! Not good at all, as chicken is one of the most...

Because the food, service and atmosphere are everything you want in a cafe/bistro/restaurant. The owners have spent a long time in getting this old post office building just right for Brontë country and I love it!
Didn’t have time to try more than a hake sandwich and while it may not have looked particularly exotic at first glance, it was well presented and absolutely full of flavour. I eschewed the complimentary knife and fork, grabbed it in both hand and devoured it with glee and much “MMMM!!!”-ing. The mocha I drank alongside it was actually better than a popular American chain (and many other cafe’s too). One gets the feeling that the people here actually care about the food they offer. And they don’t charge the Earth for it either. They’ve only been open a week as I write this, and I wish them...
