I'd heard really good reviews of this place. On our visit we were extremely disappointed. The soup was awful.... bread roll however was delicious, it was served with margarine spread, which is a big no, no. I had a pannini which was ok, served with salad, which again was ok. It would have been nice to be offered some type of salad dressing. The pannini was a very small portion considering the cost. I had a milkshake which was very nice, my daughter had a deluxe hot chocolate, which was luke warm. My mums coffee she said was very nice. Perhaps this place is better for drinks than for food? There was an overwhelming smell of grease when you entered the cafe, which is an instant put off for me. Also the place was really cold. My bill was £30, which I find extortionate for 2 bowls of soup a pannini and 3 drinks. We were never asked by any staff members if the food was ok. Read moreIf I could give -1 stars I would. My initial thought walking in was the smell of grease and cooking but we overlooked that. We ordered a hot chocolate, coffee and 2 large breakfasts, well the hot chocolate was fine, nothing to write home about it wasn’t that hot either. We came in at 20 past 11 and our food came at 12pm, 3 other people had been served sandwiches, that came in after us, ate their food and left! Our plates turned up and I took my toast off the plate to put it on the side and my plate was swimming with what looked to be water from the eggs and oil. It almost made me want to throw up. The sausages were black, over cooked and the scrambled eggs were vile. We sent it back straight away and left with a refund and no apology from any of the staff. The chef looks like he needs a shower and wasn’t wearing a heat net and had long hair, please avoid as I truly believe you will get food poisoning...

We popped in while doing some shopping and didn’t know what to expect. We ordered the Bothy breakfast and a couple of hot drinks.
We knew as soon as the menu said they used Binns of Saltaire produce that it was going to be good and the food was just amazing. Cooked right in front of you, fresh to order, gorgeous produce, generous portions and so reasonably priced at £8!
I ordered the chai latte and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had, so flavoursome!
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the dining area is nicely decorated, with a little shelf of books to borrow, cute bothy-style decor, and spotless - no sticky ketchup bottles here!
So impressed! Will be back again (and...
