This pub. To start off - easily the best pint of Guinness in Bristol. No joke. Always beautifully poured with love and care. On top of that the atmosphere and locals make this a class place. Every time I’ve been in here the landlord has asked me if I’d like the rugby put on as he recognises my face from previous visits. When I was in most recently the bar maid took payment for my pint and then said she would bring my beer to my table because ‘I don’t want you to miss the game love’. I have to commend everyone involved at the coach and horses old market in their fight against the dreaded COVID-19. All staff and customers wearing full air fed air mask RPE, only lowering their masks at key moments to inhale some medicinal thatchers gold or guiness. Looks are very deceiving with this amazing little pub. After looking for a place to watch the Gaelic football my partner and I came here. Was pleasantly surprised to find it rammed with fans all eager for the sport. It being one of if not the only place to watch both GAA and Hurling. Its size may be small but its character is welcoming and warm. Will definitely be coming back...
