Henbury Fryer — Restaurant in Bristol

If I could give zero I would. Absolutely disgrace. I have ordered 2 cods and some drinks to go down the beach with my son to each it, I asked for 2 containers as they shoved it into one container, I nicely asked for extra one and explained the situation I was told no. I have to pay for extra container. I have heard some bad things about the man/ owner and I have to say I am disgusted with them and will tell everyone to avoid this place! Not only do they charge absolute fortune now, they have no shame to ask money for extra container which should have come with two portions of cod! Wow well...

Undoubtedly the greatest chippy in Bristol, maybe even England. The quantity of fries is gigantically ginormous and could feed the entirety of crow lane, which it already has because when i buy these chips hundreds of people flock around me to get some. I feel like jesus feeding the five thousand. The salt + vinegar + gravy combo is heavenly. The service is perfect and there is nothing to complain about except for the fact that the amount of chips they give you in a large has been visibly diminishing. Okay, the actual food was good, I will say that straight off but the delay was ridiculous. We waited nearly half an hour for battered sausages, fish cake and chips. Why???? It's not complicated stuff. It would have been quicker and a hell of a lot cheaper to pop in co-op and buy it and take it home to cook. The waiting area was full when I got there so I expected a slight delay for our easy order but it was empty when I left. They forgot to stick the fish cakes in to cook!!!! Oh, and no apology either. Tad annoying...
