I have visited multiple times and have always recommended to family and friends as one of the best places to visit for a fun evening out.
Which is why Saturday was such a disappointment for myself. It was my birthday, we had a table booked that my friends had planned for me. We all turn up and everyone, every single one of my party is allowed to enter apart from me.
I am also not blind to the fact that the assumption is going to be that I was potentially too ādrunkā to enter, this certainly and categorically not the case. I also understand a table booking doesn't automatically deem you a right for entry.
However, the men outside, who get to decide who is allowed in, were nothing short of the most dismissive and rude individuals, Iāve certainly never seen them before when visiting. I tried having a conversation politely with the gentleman, to see if maybe they āmightā change their mind as It was my birthday?
It seemed to just become a pride thing for them, they made their decision and thatās that. It absolutely seemed targeted, I wasnāt aggressive in the slightest yet I was met with rudeness. They even said theyāll make sure I donāt get in anywhere around there?
I continued my night at a neighbouring premises, and took my business elsewhere. In fact multiple other places allowed me entry, which tells me, it certainly wasnāt myself that had any issues.
Safe to say Iām very let down by this service, I wonāt be returning ever again and will not be recommending any further. I think you should thoroughly review who you have representing yourselves outside your premises.
Dissatisfied is an...
Read moreI visited yesterday with a few friends after prebooking for my boyfriends birthday, we also had a bar tab of £70. We were left waiting to be seated so just sat down and then we were told our table was right by the door only realistically big enough for two people so we asked if we could be moved or our money refunded so we were moved. The music is very good but way too loud, we had to literally shout at each other and still couldn't hear what each other was saying so if you are planning on being able to have a conversation whilst enjoying your drink this isn't the place for you. Also the happy hour doesn't start until 4pm and ends at 8pm, after ordering a round and drinking our drinks we were advised the 241 wasn't starting until 4pm and we had spent out tab. When checking the menu and looking at the sign outside it just says 241 cocktails during hour hour at the end time 8pm but doesn't state when it starts. We have been a number of times previously but after our last few visits it seems to be going downhill and after yesterdays experience we won't be returning again. Not an enjoyable experience we left after around 30 minutes. The particular member of staff who moved us and explained about the 241 was very friendly and helpful but we still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here two days in a row, very early just after they had opened. It was a hot day so everyone else was enjoying a drink outside. This place a cool inside and quiet, just a couple of people inside. Lawrence, behind the bar greeted us and got some cocktails, which were on 2 for 1 offer. Even though he was visibly busy getting the bar ready for the evening, spent plenty of time with us, giving advice and help about what drinks to have next and recommending other cocktails. Such an amazing guy! He was reason we visited again the next evening.
The atmosphere this time was completely different, it being a Friday night. the music was loud, the staff were building an atmosphere, Lawrence came out to say hello and pour us one of his recommendations. Tom also got involved and served us our next drinks, again on the 2 for 1 offer. Overall all the team here were great and clearly enjoying themselves while showing off their flare talents mixing the cocktails.
Thank you to all the guys who we meet here, it really made our stay in Bristol. A special thanks to Lawrence (employee of the month) We...
