I recently had the misfortune of visiting the Burnley McDonald’s, and I must say, the experience left a lot to be desired. From the stinginess with portion sizes to the absence of basic condiments, my visit was nothing short of disappointing.

Let’s start with the main issue that truly irked me: the incomplete meal. I ordered a supposedly straightforward 6-piece nugget meal, expecting to receive six tasty chicken nuggets to satisfy my hunger. To my astonishment, I was only given five nuggets! Yes, that’s right, folks—McDonald’s couldn’t even manage to count to six. It’s not rocket science; it’s basic arithmetic. How can a restaurant that prides itself on consistency fail so miserably at such a simple task? I felt shortchanged and cheated out of a nugget.

But wait, there’s more. As if the shortage of nuggets wasn’t enough, the absence of ketchup was the final straw. Isn’t ketchup a staple condiment at McDonald’s? Apparently not at the Burnley branch. I had to endure the sad, flavorless experience of eating dry nuggets without any accompanying sauce. It’s as if the restaurant wanted to strip away every ounce of joy that comes with indulging in their food. And let’s be honest, who wants to eat dry chicken nuggets? It’s sacrilege!

The lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction were evident throughout my visit. The staff seemed disinterested and careless, completely oblivious to the fact that they were ruining someone’s dining experience. I understand that fast food establishments can get busy, but that’s no excuse for such sloppy service.

As a customer, I expect better. I expect to receive what I pay for—a complete meal with all the necessary components. I expect a basic level of competence from a well-known chain like McDonald’s. Sadly, the Burnley branch failed to meet even the lowest of expectations.

In conclusion, the Burnley McDonald’s left me deeply disappointed. From the missing nugget in my meal to the absence of ketchup, the experience was a letdown. If you’re looking for a reliable fast food experience, I suggest you steer clear of this particular establishment. Hopefully, they can learn from their mistakes and provide better service...

Disappointing Experience with Manager at Burnley McDonald's

I frequently visit McDonald's and usually have a great experience at my local restaurant. However, while working in Burnley, I stopped at the nearest McDonald's. I ordered drinks without ice, as I typically do, but received cups only half full. Given the extra tax on sugary drinks like Coke, I expect a full cup, especially since ice is rarely needed in the UK’s weather.

When I politely asked the staff member to fill the cups, she consulted a manager (with ginger hair and glasses) and returned, stating that’s how the drinks are served. I asked again, but the manager approached, pointed to the cup’s fill line, and insisted that was the correct amount, treating me like I’d never been to a McDonald’s before. Frustrated, I requested a refund, which was promptly given, but it’s disappointing that the manager prioritized refusing to top up our drinks over customer satisfaction, choosing to refund two meals instead.

I visited another McDonald’s nearby, where they filled our drinks properly and even saved us 20p as their chicken selects were cheaper. It’s baffling that the Burnley manager was so stingy over a small amount of Coke, likely wasting more by pouring out our refunded drinks. Ironically, their screens promote “don’t skip the dip,” yet they’re petty about...

First thing's first I waited 45 minutes for my food to actually arrive to my car when they part me up in a car park by this time both my milkshakes and McFlurry had melted they replaced this checked the bag to have a look that make sure that the big tasty with bacon had the sticker on it to say they hadn't put tomato in it cos I am highly allergic which it did the food was on the borderline of lukewarm but I was not waiting another 45 minutes for my food to be corrected I drove home got home realised that my mozzarella dippers were missing and also my big tasty actually had tomato hiding underneath all the manager could say to me was sorry we are very busy and have loads I have never in my life waited 45 minutes at a drive-thru to get food this is got to be the worst ever McDonald's experience I would...

Staff are rude and dismissive. If you’re not in the drive-thru, expect a long wait—even if you're just ordering a coffee. Walk-in customers clearly aren’t the priority. Orders are often carelessly thrown into bags, and the food feels just as haphazard—messily assembled and rushed. Missing items are a regular issue. This is the only McDonald’s I’ve been to where mistakes like that happen almost every time. On my most recent visit, I nearly choked because the burger patty was cooked and served with the greaseproof paper still attached. It had fused to the meat and I only realised while chewing. I was offered a voucher as compensation—but even that didn’t work. The restaurant itself is reasonably clean and spacious, but the service is genuinely poor—even by fast food standards.

Ordered via uber well you have seen the results, luckily the food was OK but no hot chocolate, not the thirst time our drinks have being spilt like that, before you say its not the restaurants fault yes it is,it's in the packing and they had not being packed right, the cup holder had not being put square in the bag it was lopsided I saw it as the driver picked the bag out of his bag the cup holder was lopsided so knew what would happen, suggest you retrain your staff how to put a cup holder in a bag and not to use a 4 cup holder when only 2 drinks, commons sense should tell them use a 2 cup holder less likely to spill and cheaper to the company as the two do not cost as much as the 4.

I had a pleasantly surprising visit to the McDonald's on Princess Way in Burnley. It was reasonably quiet when I went, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-kept. My burger even looked almost like the advert for once — a rare fast food win! Overall, a good experience and I'd happily stop by again.
