Went there today with my family. Ordered a doughnut for myself that’s was called a dodge donut. When they bought it to the table it didn’t match the description. They simply wasn’t going to mentioned it as if I didn’t read it. To be fair I now know it was a trainee… and I understand it may be nervous to say it to a customer. It may be over just a dodger. But I simply was offered to choose an alternative. To where the nice lady (trainee) said I can pick any and especially pointed at the chimney cake. Which I chose. I did confirm if it was alright. Knowing there was a price difference. I sat down and i think it was the manager Alex came up to me to ask to pay the difference. If it was said in a nicer way or even an explaination such as ‘the lady that served you was a trainee… I’m truly sorry that we may have misled you…’ but no. I may work for the NHS… but I used to work in the hospitality service as well. It’s just etiquette which the manager lacked unfortunately. I’m not putting the trainee at fault as she may have not knew as well. I genuinely thought it was for the inconvenience that I could choose whatever. I simply got annoyed at that point. I just wanted to leave. But then I hear the manager was rude to my mother just because I was in a bit of a mood.
Please refrain the manager to encourage them to step in to help their trainees. Because come on… it’s not hard to help your trainees.
I can even go further to be annoyed with the fruit flies which the manager did dismiss to the hot weather which was completely untrue. You get people in to clear them out or get the fly attractor installed on the premises. Don’t blame it on the weather when it was simply cool outside.
Can’t lie about something like that. You simply apologise and say you will escalate it and rectify it. Not an...
Read moreMe and my family wanted to eat desserts after a late lunch… we brought food at gyro kebab and thought we would sit outside and eat and once we had eaten order some desserts… halfway through our meal we get approached by a member of staff who said that we could not eat food from another place outside their shop as it was company policy… i stated a few times that we will be ordering dessert and would like to sit here to finish our meal… i was told i couldnt do that… fair enough i then said that if i was to order dessert now could we sit and eat and you could bring out the desserts when they are ready…. The member of staff went to check with the manager and came back stating that we could not eat there we would have to move go somewhere else finish our food and then come back once we had finished our food… were not stupid enough to go back to a place after being kicked out/ away… eventhough i offered to order dessert and wait for it while we finished our food… i would understand if we were just sat there eating and didn’t want to purchase desserts to be kicked away like that… i will be telling all my friends to avoid your dessert place even those who recommend you to us…. Im not even going to bother again… i never complain as i just like to get on with it but this really upset me so had to...
Read moredo not go here, Went with my friend on a tuesday night, it was pretty quiet, we ordered two ice creams. Whilst waiting they served us with a cookie dough, i straight away said ‘we’ve actually ordered two ice creams’ she said yes they’re on their way and left the cookie dough on the table. We were confused by this but just ate our ice creams leaving the cookie dough when we finished we realised after 25 minutes, no one was coming to say that the cookie dough was wrong to be sent here. so as anyone normal we thought no one’s coming we will just eat it. we took two bites. We were just about to leave and a woman came over saying as it’s a mistake on their part we will have to pay for it. We thought this was ridiculous but as a hospitality worker myself i didn’t want to make it difficult so agreed to pay. 5 minutes later she came back over to tell me bcos of the extra strawberries on top it’s now gone up about £2! She apologised but we thought it was ridiculous that we had to pay for their mistake when we had said we didn’t even order the cookie dough in the first place. The so called ‘manager’ that we told we hadn’t ordered the cookie dough was rude to start with in the first place and looked miserable as well as...
