The worst after sale service, and the rudest I've ever been spoken to by a restaurant.
We ordered £50 of food through just-eat, and 4 of the items were completely inedible - probably from the day before - day old onion bhaji, bone dry chapati x2, dry saag paneer and raw potatoes in aloo gobi. There was £10 of food that was completely inedible, so I assumed a simple mistake was made, and a simple refund would be made - ensuring our forward custom.
I phoned for a refund on those items, and the man on the end of the phone didn't even let me finish my list of 4 items with which I had an issue. He cut me off, 2 items in, told me that they have a reputation for quality food and "your opinion means nothing". After challenging this and telling him that many of our family order from their restaurant, I was told "we don't need customers like you" and to take our customer elsewhere, which we will most gladly do.
I've honestly never had an experience like this, and wouldn't expect such a brand sabotage over such a small sum. This is an establishment that is so full of itself and it's apparent success that it can't take criticism, and is willing to push existing customers away rather than admitting a lapse in standards to the value of £10. If this is the way they are happy to treat long standing customers, I feel sorry for anyone that is looking for a regular takeaway Indian restaurant.
The way I was talked to was completely disgusting, and anyone who orders from this restaurant should understand that the customer opinion means absolutely nothing them.
If you order from here, know that the customer does not come first and any criticism or failures in quality control are your fault as the customer, and you will be shouted out on the phone and told to go elsewhere.
Why waste your time and your money? Go elsewhere, where customer service is a value that is still valued.
Awaiting a defensive and caring response from some manager - do me a favour, save...
Read moreWe've had takeaway in past many times before and thoroughly enjoyed, decided to go in and try out as we don't live to far away and thought we'd like the full experience. First of we went in and was bombarded with would you like a drink to my response just tap water please, they then continued to ask if we wanted a alcoholic drink to my response again no just tap water please (I understand places being friendly but this wasn't the case they we're being extremely pushy) we sat down and asked for some poppadoms and asked the price in which they said was FREE with meal then shortly after they brought so fancy bottled water which we was like we asked for tap in which they refused us. We then waited over an hour while being the only other couple in the restaurant and throughout meal was repeatedly asked if we wanted an alcoholic drink in which we continued to say no (at this point it was getting really frustrating) we finished our meal and went to the bar to pay and was asked again if we would like a drink when I replied a very stubborn no we just want the bill. He then added the entire order up of the top of his head on calculator and came to a total of £50, now for two mains and rice and bread seemed a lot seeming as though we didn't drink or pay for the poppadoms. I then opened the menu and added it up for myself which came to a total of £22.50, he then replied while sweating alot and I mean alot like he was doing the entire night said the prices have changed due to covid . I said thats not what the menu says, anyway I paid £22.50 and when leaving released he was using a dirty tissue to clean and blow his nose and then continued to serve food to the other couple who was inside without washing hands which made me feel instantly sick. Anyway I'm going to leave this there because I could write an entire article about how unprofessional and unhygienic this...
Read moreI would of liked to have given this place a 4 or 5 stars for the food (as it was delicious) however my mum and I was told the order would be delivered in an hour. Two and a half hours later the food arrived with the 'we are very busy excuse.' To top that off the old delivery guy disrespectfully said to me that my mum was 'tidy' with a grin on his face, so not very impressed. To the delivery guys or staff if you read this, have a little respect for your constumers and keep your opinions to yourself! Have some professionalism about you because it's not appropriate! You are providing a food service not a chat up service! No excuses, I don't want to hear it and my mum didn't appreciate it or feel particularly comfortable with it either. I'm not one to normally complain but we won't...
