Came here as we were staying down the road for a weekend away in the area and a colleague had visited a few times. The cafe was beautiful inside and the hot chocolates (orange dark chocolate and regular dark chocolate) with the homemade marshmallow and the pot of cream were the best we had ever had (even better than what we make in our hotel chocolat velvetiser!!) . We also had a hazelnut praline chocolate milk over ice which was delicious. It came to around ÂŁ16 for our drinks which was worth it given the quality. We purchased some chocolates from the shop for ourself and a friend for Christmas, not the cheapest but again for the quality of chocolate and range of flavours it was worth it as a treat. Staff were very friendly and service was fast. Even offered us samples to try whilst we waited to pay. Will definitely be back if we visit the area again!

I guess we were unlucky looking at the other reviews. Tuesday lunchtime, ordered the smashed avocado/scrambled eggs and my friend ordered the salmon/scrambled eggs. We were waiting over half an hour for the food, and when it arrived the eggs were cold, and it was generally so far from the menu description that we considered asking for our money back. We were both so hungry and hadn't seen anywhere else to eat, so we ate our food. So disappointed. Photos show our food after taking only a couple of mouthfuls, so this is pretty much the full portion size. I got a slice of avocado, I've never ordered smashed avocado and received so little! Even the lettuce leaves looked ashamed to be there. Milkshakes were lovely but I wouldn't come back for the food. Embarrassingly poor.

Amazing interior design and the bathroom is so nice. As a hot chocolate enthusiast I was amazed by the hot chocolates and the cute notes they write on top were lovely. The wait wasn't too long especially since all the food is fresh but the best part was how nice all the people are. They were so considerate and sweet and had a family atmosphere, I had a great time and I really want to go again soon. I went again today and they're all still so lovely and were really kind. The hot chocolates were even better and I don't like mayonnaise or butter and so my grilled sandwich (which was amazing) meant I had to make a really awkward order but they were so nice about it which is great for picky eaters like me.

I think we may have just picked a really bad time to come as I know all the other reviews are great! We booked a table for 1pm on Thursday afternoon and just went for desserts. We ordered the dipping plate for 3 of us, a chocolate brownie and a children's ice cream, plus drinks. We waited almost an hour for the drinks and food to arrive. The drinks and brownie arrived first. After another wait we then decided to go and ask for the ice cream as we had a 3 year old waiting very patiently!!!! It was some time later before one of the dipping plates arrived, and then another wait for the last sharing dipping plate for the final two of us. We had been seated upstairs so I wonder if this caused a problem and we were forgotten??? Although it didn't seem particularly busy. No staff came upstairs at any point other than to serve our food, one other table wasn't cleared the whole time we were there and no one else was seated upstairs. The food was ok - strawberries looked a little worse for wear - but all reasonably priced, chocolate tasted delicious, just sad to wait for so long and probably won't go back!!! Better...

Fortunately for me it rained today so I popped into this cafe. Both my dog and myself warmly welcomed. Great news for diabetics 70 chocolate here. The most delicious hot chocolate I have tasted.. No need for toppings pure smooth chocolate.. Torn between the breakfast waffle with yogurt fresh fruit and the toasted sandwich I decided to be sensible as I'd had the chocolste and opted for the toasty. This was delicious beautifully toasted on great breadaccompanied by a crisp salad0.Id be lying if I didnot confess my eyes did stray to the waffle on the neighbouring table. and waffle is a future must. Also a futur9e treat popping in for a hot chocolate and enjoying some chocolates with a friend very naughty but heck enjoy life and keep taking the tablets. The chocolates I agree with the above reviewer are devine amazing flavours. Thank you for a great time on a very...
