San Leonardo — Restaurant in Bury

Absolutely awful restaurant. Ridiculous prices for motorway service station standard food: £18.95 for carboard Pollo Paprika (grilled chicken breast with a salty sauce) Starter (Caprese salad - mozzarella, vine tomatoes, basil) was the blandest mozzarella and tomato i've ever tasted...cheap ingredients. When asked if i could have some balsamic and olive oil to try and perk it up a bit, couldn't believe the thin, almost tasteless balsamic they brought. It looked like it had been watered down, although the waiter denied this - in which case it was cheap produce again, but expensive (£6.95). The other diners with me were also unimpressed with the pasta dishes (one was very hot pasta - microwave suspect).

We also had to wait about 30 mins before our order was taken. The place was very busy, unbelievably. Problem is Ramsbottom is a gastronomic wasteland and people put up with this rip off 'Italian' fair. These are London prices with Ramsbottom overheads.

When we complained to the waitress she went through the practised apology routine, and refused our request for a reduction. She did offer to get the manager however we just wanted to leave and couldn't face more nonsense.

People should not patronise places like this - shoddy produce, inept...

Party of four ate there last night. Although the food was good and reasonably priced, it was badly let down by the service. We have eaten here before and always enjoyed great service but not last night. I had booked a table and when we arrived we were led upstairs, our menus were put on the table and the host walked away without another word to us. Our drinks order was taken quickly and drinks soon arrived but after that we had to wait ages for anyone to take our food order, another age for the starters to arrive, then the plates be cleared, mains arrive etc. Other than one of the waiters who asked if our meals were ok as he cleared our plates, nobody asked how everything was or seemed to care. There was a large group in, the staff only seemed to be bothered about looking after them. Previously the service has been great, but they really need to improve the service being given. A smile and asking how your meal is doesn’t take much effort but goes a long way towards making customers come back. This restaurant use to be my favourite last entered over 18 months earlier, but I am afraid to say this is not the case no more, a party of 7 went in for the evening (26-10-15) pleasantly greeted

Drinks are quite expensive £2 for a glass of coke however when its being served out of a 2 litre bottle clearly marked £1 on the bottle and served to you flat, these were returned and again the drinks were flat in the end settled on a jug of water.

Starters came out hit and miss so some members ate there starter before others had arrived. The food was excellent can't complain at all on this Mains arrived however they got the meal completely wrong and the lady manager and chef was debating who was wrong. 3 kids desserts took an age to come to the table the restaurant was not busy yet only ice cream still had to wait for long period.
