Went to watch a band on Saturday 14th September with friends. What a lovely pub this is! The landlord & landlady were so welcoming and friendly. Everywhere was clean including the ladies wc. Nice friendly atmosphere & good bar prices. They even brought out a free supper! Which was an excellent home cooked for everyone. At the end of the evening they rang a taxi for us. It's a long time since I have been in a pub and been made to feel so welcome. Wish I lived in the area as I would definitely go...

Probably has the best beer garden in England. A disused bowling green with tables/parasols and a fantastic view of the hills all round. There are also animals in well tended large cages, rabbits, ducks, geese, Guinness pigs, budgies etc absolutely great for kids, room to run around without...

Its an old school pub. When the roaring fire is on, with the Sunday lunch. Bliss. In summer there is a bowling green out the back which you can hire their bowls for a few quid. Honestly in summer go up the green with a cold cider or pint, sit in quiet surroundings and...
