Bellini's — Restaurant in Calderdale

We came to this restaurant on the 5th of June 2022 at 16:00 hours. I must say I was extremely delighted with this restaurant from the start of my visit to leaving the premises. The staff here are extremely friendly and really really helpful and professional. I had the calamarie for my starter, and I must say it was fantastic. This dish is extremely hard to cook to perfection, but this restaurant definitely did that it was absolutely delicious. It was so tender and so flavoursome I could not have asked for a better dish to start my evening off. Then I had the RIGATONI SALSICCIA for my main course, again this dish was excellent the pasta was cooked to absolute perfection and the sauce and the garlic sausage that was with this dish was amazing as well. The dish was absolutely full of flavour and I could never have asked for a better dish. The portion sizes at this restaurant are extremely generous and you will never leave hungry I could not believe how much you’ve got for your money it was truly excellent value for money. I would absolutely go back here in a breath it was that good. The restaurant does ad on a service charge, however if you do ask them to remove it they will do that for you with no problem. The only little negative is that if you are in a wheelchair you may not be able to visit the restaurant as from what I am aware of there was no Access that didn’t involve going down some steps to enter the restaurant. But other than that it was the most wonderful evening I have had for a very long time. The staff should be extremely proud with themselves. First time I have been, after hearing great things from my parents. It was lovely to see how they were welcomed as regular guests and how attentive all the team were towards them. We were a table of four, the venue was busy, which was fabulous to see and the way we were looked after and the quality of the meals I can see why. We were offered homemade warm sourdough bread rolls with real butter to start, they were welcomed... Then a tomato garlic pizza we had was sensational!!! They are not scared of garlic, which is totally the idea, well done! My mum had the trio of fish which looked amazing and is her favourite, my dad had fillet of beef stroganoff which was sliced of fillet as opposed to strips which was a nice way to do it, it was also cooked to his request of med rare, again, a great way to do the dish and unexpected. My son had breaded chicken on a bed of spaghetti with tomato sauce, the chicken was succulent and what a fun dish for a youngster to enjoy, I opted for lasagne, not something I would ever choose, but after a hectic weekend I wanted something homely and wholesome so when in Rome..... It did not disappoint, a generous portion with a rich tomato sauce, Rolls Royce of lasagne, perfecto! Needless to say we were too full for dessert. With the offer of a complimentary lemoncello it was a nice touch to end the evening. Thank you and we will definitely be back the next time we visit, although my parents will be back no doubt...

The restaurant is very nicely decorated... it has a bit of an industrial edge but mixed with comfortable seating and a warm Mediterranean feel.

The menu is a lot more streamlined than some places we've been to but we were still stuck with what to decide on. I ordered the king prawns to start and a starter portion of stuffed peppers for my main. However the prawns were so good I asked for some more to have a tapas style main.

My other half had the carpaccio and the trio of fish, which came with fries. I stole a few and they were really good chips. We of course had some courgette frites (they weren't in batter they were in light breadcrumbs and it reminded me a bit of when you get deep fried mozzarella) and we also shared some spinach.

The Gavi white wine was lovely; very light and no acidic after taste. We may have started with an espresso martini each... he also finished with one whilst I ordered a tiramisu with two spoons for us both. The tiramisu was different to what I've had before but was defo worth the carbs! They also bring you a drink on the house at the end... we chose the amaretto option.

There was a mix of people in there... young and old... couples, friends, families. Would definitely recommend!

The only feedback I could give really is maybe get a few table height wine stands as on a table for two with the wine and water etc it...
