I have walked past this place on many occasion & I do keep meaning to call in so today after messing up my train times I decide to give it a whirl itâs ideal for people catching the train or being delayed a refreshing bite to eat or a cold or warm beverage. I politely asked if it was booking only which the kind gentleman staff member politely sorted me out with a table for 1 he walked me through the main area to the back out door area which caters for all little people (adults .dogs) water bowl kiddies chair two fans blowing cold hair which was just grand has itâs a very hot day I noticed two other diners had ordered food I was kinda jelous has it looked very well presented plus the smell went right by my nostrils but I opted for a flat white with a desert but I now know for next time what to try the service was spot on the area was a lot cleaner the cliental a bit different from Greggs or Costa but the decor was very cosy indeed . Has I left I noticed a few more people had arrived has I settled the bill but yes if you want some a bit classy a good range on the menu then do drop by itâs just on the left hand side on the corner over the bridge from Sainsburyâs ideally parking wise I think just further down the road shouldnât be a problem . I look forward to trying other items on the menu on my next visit but thank you for the very...
Read moreGive this a solid 8 out of 10 in my opinion, friendly when you walk in, warm and clean seating area, when you order online decent discount for takeaway food and the portion sizes we're good too.
Had to deduct 2 points 1 as the fries weren't salted, if they are salted as they come out of the frier then it sticks to the fries. As if I were to order a portion of skin on fries they would come lightly salted, I just expected the fries with the burger to be the same as they were skin on fries.
The 1 point as the burger even though was very tasty and you could tell it was a proper burger not something from a fast food outlet. Just there was no sear on the burger, searing the beef brings another level of flavour to a burger like it does to a decent steak.
But all in all its a nice place to visit, prices on par for the area. I would recommend this place. I would say if you are a group larger than 8 sitting in to give them a call but looked plenty...
Read moreWent to The Shrub early evening on Saturday for drinks before having a family meal in Brighouse. I'd walked past a couple of weeks ago on route to the train station and it looked so nice I was keen to try it. We weren't disappointed. It's got a lovely stylish feel and we were given a warm welcome even though we hadn't booked. Really enjoyed our cocktails which were very reasonably priced. There was a good choice of drinks for the drivers in the group too. We sat in the terrace at the back and the attentive service continued, whilst more and more family members joined us. The wonderful staff member then went out of his way to help me. I left behind my nieces' birthday card, he remembered where we said we were going and he came to the restaurant specially to bring the birthday gifts back to me. I cannot thank him enough and I'm so impressed that he did so much to help us. Above and...
