Nefarus (Formerly Villain Bar) — Restaurant in Calderdale

We came here yesterday for Bottomless Brunch, one of our group booked the brunch and missed a member of the party off which was an issue as you do have to pre-book your food here. Thankfully after speaking to the owner she was able to sort some food out for us which we did really appreciate. This isn’t the reason for the 2 star review, the reason for this is the waitress with glasses was extremely rude , rolling her eyes , constantly making comments about how we only booked for 8 people and was heard by our group talking bad about us. This is absolutely unacceptable behaviour. She ruined the vibe for the whole group which we had planned on going out in Brighouse after but due to her behaviour half of the group left after brunch due to her ruining the vibe. The blonde waitress on the other hand was fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us, I mean she had three brunch tables to do as the girl with glasses just stood behind the bar all the time. The food was lovely and the drinks were delicious but did take a while to get some of the cocktails and for £37.50 I did feel this was slow service. You have such a unique and cool restaurant/bar with some amazing staff but only it takes is one bad egg to ruin a cake and I feel that the girl with glasses is that bad egg.

Just additionally, we had a member of our party who is completely sober and was doing your bottomless package unfortunately, they were given a bottle of beer that was not zero percent although no alcohol was drank this could have broken someone’s sobriety. I appreciate this was an accident and the girl was so sorry just please...

I did leave a review on fb. But yes food was nice. Cocktails absolutely rubbish. The zombie is so nice when paying full price but in the brunch deal the cocktails r really rubbish we was having to order shots of rum to go in them they was just pop. £2 extra for a slice of cheese on my burger. £2 extra for pink gin. House spirits rubbish. Young ones weren't fab on phones alot. Bill brought about 20mins too early had to argue that our time wasn't up. Clean in there it's a nice place. I'll go back but not for brunch. Connor was really nice he had just started and cleaned our table ye was only 1 that took our empties away so we gave him a tip he deserved it very happy chap.

Can't seem to reply to your review....if you read what I put properly I never said I was drinking zombies....I said.....when paying full price the zombies r lovely!!! Yes we did message back n forth and I no what the charge was for cheese and yes I agreed I'm just stating it was £2 extra for cheese to let others no. I’d leave zero if this was an option !!! How hard is it to make a panini ??? Simple you’d think yet they got the order wrong after waiting over 30 minutes. Came here with a few friends wasn’t allowed to sit at a big table due to a staff member sat at it with a laptop ...😑 so we all squeezed onto a tiny table as if the place isn’t small enough as it is. Staff not attentive at all. Stood gossiping loudly behind the bar. Went outside to have a cigarette while waiting for my food and there’s kitchen staff out there smoking wearing aprons. Used toilets which were clean but didn’t have toilet roll .. nice. I won’t be returning. Over priced and...
