First of all, this is not a place for authentic Italian style pizza, there's plenty of places providing that in Cambridge. It's a chain Pizza place, more similar to chains like Domino's, so let me review it as such.
This branch is the first in Cambridge I believe and opened a few months ago. We've ordered pizzas from it twice, and our experience was neither overly positive nor negative. They make the pizzas fresh and have a nice rotating oven, and the pizzas come with a nice garlic dip. When ordering and deciding to pick it up at the store, their time estimate has been pretty accurate. They offer a set of different pizzas, including dessert pizzas with Nutella, and an option to 'build your own' pizza by selecting the ingredients. The prices are pretty good.
The two times we ordered, my partner's pizzas were fine but they were a bit too much for her. She went with one of the standard pizzas. I went for the 'build your own' pizza, which was less successful. The first time, one ingredient was missing, and the Rocket was put onto the pizza before it went into the oven. The second time I explicitly asked in the instructions to put the Rocket on the pizza after it has gone through the oven. I also removed one ingredient to reduce the complexity; the result was that still another ingredient was missing this time, and the Rocket was missing as well. Also this second time the pizza was extremely oily, see the picture. Both times I used the garlic base, it was not this bad the first time. All in all, after having given a second chance, I don't think I'll order here again. The pizzas are not bad in general, but they can't seem to get it right, and Domino's would be just as good and does offer smaller pizzas.
Positive/negatives; Accurate time estimation for pick-up Pizzas baked in a nice rotating oven with real fire Regular menu pizzas tasted pretty good Nice garlic sauce with each pizza
Can't seem to get 'build your own' pizzas right Unfortunately no smaller pizza options Last time pizza was...

Read moreAs my average review from their inaugural year received an invitation to try them again, so that they might redeem themselves as excellent, I thought it best to update my review.
Unfortunately, having now dined here a few times, I can report that they are simply awful in every way. Except their milkshakes which earn them 1*.
Firstly, there is nothing authentic about this places "italian" pizza. They are a chain, and they are awful. All the staff are, well, not Italian. the decor, while inviting, does not help to raise their grotesque quality of food, on which they literally add no toppings and are incredibly frugal.
My last visit to them, while waiting at the counter I noticed they have red pharaoh ants on their salad counter and til. Not particularly hygienic and almost impossible to be rid of, even compared to normal ants.
i've given this store chance after chance, and every time their pizza falls short of my expectations and the staff attitude and hygiene similarly does.
Just do yourself a favor and order from either Pizza 1889, Al Pomodoro, or I hear Napoleat is high quality. Dominoes and Papa Johns surpass this store...
