I was really excited to try this restaurant out as it is the first persian restaurant in Cambridge (to my knowledge), however I was very disappointed.
I went on a Saturday earlier in the day and they sat us right next to the bathroom, if someone left the door open you could see the toilet inside, not very pleasant in a restaurant setting.
I ordered the zereshk polo ba morgh (chicken and rice with barberries) usually my favorite persian dish, however I got a very small piece of chicken with barely any barberries. It came out cold and I asked the waitress if I can get it changed she was really helpful and apologetic however the second one also came out cold, at this point I gave up and tried it. The chicken was so bland and not flavorful at all. There is so much a waitress can do when the kitchen can’t figure their stuff out. The waiter even had to bring the managers phone for payment!
I believe this restaurant wasn’t ready to be opened at all. I wish I took my money elsewhere where I knew I would’ve gotten a better portion and a better dish overall.
The waiter and waitress were very helpful and the service from them was great, the...
Read moreWe went to Ranya Grill for a big family meal, and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The food is a mix of Persian and Kurdish flavours, full of taste and cooked to perfection. We ordered a bit of everything to share, and every single dish was delicious! Not a single thing was left behind. Everyone left happy, satisfied, and with full tummies!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what really stood out was the amazing service. The staff was friendly and attentive, genuinely making us feel at home. You can tell how much love and effort has gone into this restaurant, and it really makes a difference to the whole dining experience.
It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again, whether for a family gathering or just a nice meal out. We’re so glad to have Ranya Grill nearby and can’t...
Read moreWalk pass this place pretty much everyday and always looks decently busy, so I thought let’s give it a try. We was welcomed by all the staff as we was the 2nd table there that time. Was offered a free bowl of soup. Menu looked great but some prices for items was questionable. I wanted a half a chicken but apparently they stopped doing it? So I opted for the mix shawarma and a mix grill Which cost around £25. Food came within 15mins. My shawarma was decent, the sheek kebabs was soft and very juicy and lamb and chicken sheesh was decent. Chips was soggy ( assuming they re-fried the last tables extra chips and served it to us)
Overall not a bad place, would recommend it to others, but bring that half a chicken & cook fresh chips and cook it...
