So we were greeted on arrival by a young lass, 16:30 this past Friday, was a second birthday meal, this was just intimate my wife and I, we were seating in a booth. Waitress had noted it was a birthday meal, so to my excitement I got to choose the music. The waitress notice the sun was blaring into my wife's face so without being asked, she went outside and made the sun disappear. (Put the blind down) We ordered our drinks and both the cocktail and mocktail were nice. (I've had nicer pina colada's didnt look like one and wasnt very creamy.) so had a different drink the second time.(oreo milkshake, just tasted like plain chocolate milkshake tbh) Both ordered the flat iron steaks with steak sauce- great work chefs cooked to perfection, really tasty. Unfortunately the waitress went on break and was having her dinner. So had a different male server , whom smelt terribly of B.O not very pleasant when reaching across the table, he wasnt rude but became diffensive when I asked where the water for the table had got to) By time meals came (perfect wait time btw, not too quick and not too long) it was only us and another party just joining the restaurant so in turn, little atmosphere. Nonetheless delicious meal, After the main we were thinking of getting a dessert and to our surprise an oreo cheesecake with a sparkler came over, the waiter awkwardly singing happy birthday to a very quiet (exception of background music) restaurant. He gave up towards the end, (fair) i would of sung it,way over the top if i was him, getting into the groove.
Thank you for the dessert, was really nice. Paid and served now back with the waitress, she was friendly, upbeat and cheerful like earlier, couple of lollipops given too 🍭 very sweet gesture 👍

Read moreRepeat customer that won’t be returning. Although the food was good, I found the overall cost of £180 for 5 (two children) to be unjustifiably high. Upon reviewing the receipt, I was surprised to see that a significant portion of the bill went towards soft drinks (coke/lemonade, only two beers purchased) and a service charge - these totalled approx £60. While I understand the importance of compensating staff for their service, I believe that customers should have the autonomy to decide on the amount of tip they leave based on the service and their family financial situation. The chip basket, in particular, contained only a few chips that had been hollowed out for decoration, with the rest of the plate filled with salad. For the amount we paid, I expected better. I believe that if establishments continue to prioritize profit over customer cost satisfaction, they may face consequences similar to other chains that have closed down. The prices are prohibitively expensive for families, especially when compared to more affordable options like Nandos and Nines.
While the service and food quality were good/satisfactory, I cannot justify returning given the exorbitant prices for soft drinks and service charge.
I hope the service charge added to a bill is reevaluated and pricing and tipping policies to better accommodate your ‘average’ working customers in the future. I am on minimum wage, and I do not receive a service charge for the service I provide. Tipping yes 100% agree, service charge added to a bill - no.
Music also far to loud - we couldn’t hear...

Like many others we were celebrating GCSE results so booked and headed to Rocker's in Cambridge. We were met by friendly staff and drinks quickly arrived. Due a spot of a hold up with our order, 2 free dishes of olives and another round of drinks were offered; a very kind gesture and done superbly well.
Food then arrived and oh my goodness it was of the highest class! Some ordered steaks and they were perfectly cooked and melt in the mouth delicious! Those that ordered burgers were equally happy (the Trailer Trash burger is a delight!).
During service we mentioned, in passing, that we too were celebrating GCSE results and so, while choosing a dessert an Oreo cookies cheesecake came out for the braniac son with a sparkler lit! A superb touch that wasn't ever requested or suggested and made the night complete!
The staff are brilliant, friendly and human; no rehearsed lines or cheesy chat. Normal, conversational and wonderfully pleasant people.
For 5 of us with drinks (no desserts in the end) the bill was around £22 per head and we were entirely happy to pay the added tip still keeping the total cost under £100.
If you're in the area, do go along. The atmosphere of rock music and adorned walls with a plethora of memorabilia all add to a fantastic experience. I imagine weekends are busy so do book (easily done via their brilliant website). Overall, a first rate evening and a top class venue. We will be...
